RSG and Maritz Merge?

I just signed up for 5 shops through RSG but client said Maritz Research. I know we are not supossed to name clients and msp but the store being shopped is not called Maritz research so I was confused. Did they or are they merging? Anyone with info thank you.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

Just because the store being shopped is not named, that doesn't mean anything. An MSC can be a client of another MSC.

Half the time, the stores we shop aren't the client. Ever done surcharge shops? Competitor shops? Menu board audits?

I noticed the same thing when I clicked on an emailed job offer, both names were listed. But I think it's just this one job.

MSCs contracting with another MSC is more common than you think. Some companies who don't do video will contract with a company specializing in video shops. Maritz already had a huge influx of clients this year and probably could not handle the additional work from this project. Since this may be either a short term or pilot project, it makes more sense to contract out the work rather than hire additional staff.

I just wish they would respond to the request for the assignment. Sometimes they answer right away and other times it takes days when you apply. Drives me batty. They have a small window of dates available, and I have an even smaller window. Right now we are in the middle of both windows and running out of time.

I know for a fact that Mystery Researchers (aka RSG) is in the process or has recently purchased another MSC but it is not Maritz Research. And before you ask, I have been sworn to secrecy until it becomes public.

I noticed the last round of price audits were another companies as well.

Is it for the auto parts store? I didn't see on the instructions where you had to be male, and I signed up for one.

The one I looked at required a male shopper for self-assign, but did allow woman to apply. One of the schedulers posted here today specifically for men.

@ techman01 ~ It became public on August 12. It looks like a lot of schedulers have loose lips.

Maybe not, could have been just one. Apparently they aren't the only ones with loose lips since you've alluded to it at least twice while others haven't posted a single, solitary word

I just mentioned it in the past 30 minutes for the first time. I had not gone back to check the date when it became public. I have schedulers and cops tell me things all the time that I know they are not supposed to. There are several changes going on with multiple MSCs. That is why is it good to register with as many MSCs as possible because one never knows when a merging will occur.

I applied too, but apparently so did my husband, and he got them, I didn't.

Hi,

I have seen these auto parts shops in my area and I was wondering how hard theses shops are? Is the report long? any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The shops are easy. 5 minute report...

I think I had an email about that so it's not much of a secret any more.

Time to build a bigger bridge.

I saw all the Insula fast food shops and turned them down. I thought, there's no way to get all those prices from a walk-in, well known fast food restaurant covertly without standing up near the counter so long someone working the counter would know something was up.

I wondered what was up with Maritz in the spring when so many of the blue bank shops were coming through RSG and for more money than Maritz pays for the same shop. I did several of these shops for RSG.

@ nycrocks ~ Most auditors (including myself) take the photos from the outside drive-thru menuboards. I use pro camera equipment so I can be in the next parking lot over and still get the shots using the the right lens. Then when I am back home, I record all the prices from my photos.

The plus side of Mystery Researchers taking over shops is that they tend to pay more money. The downside is that Mystery Researchers usually does not let you self-assign and they have rapid turnaround times. The bank shops are due at 9 PM of the same day you perform them. But the banks don't close until 6 PM and if you have other shops or a dinner shop scheduled for the same evening, you are screwed.

I just picked up three of these $15 quick auto shops for tommorow. I was confused when I saw the name of the other MSC in the assignment title.

I was really confused about it, until I came here and found this thread. I'll take $15 over $12 for the same thing anyday.

I noticed some of the gas shops I did earlier this month were contracted from Maritz. Also noticed Mystery Shopping Canada was announcing shops that were for another Canadian company. Seems to be happening more this year than last. I haven't done any shops with Insula but hope that I have the same positive experience with them as I have with RSG.
