Second-To-None wants to know why we don't like their pizza shops

I don't know which triggers my gag reflex more... the pizza itself, or the self-centered ads and website.

How about that the pizzas apparently make the world a better place.

I guess this shop is so hated that nobody even noticed the name of the customer <Oops! The actual initials might be just a tiny bit too close to naming the client, so we'll take those out just to be careful> as well as the MSC was mentioned a few posts above this in the same post sad smiley

Mod note: Where? We've been watching this thread, and while some have come sorta close ("Botox Juan" ) (and, ha!) (also, sorta-kinda, talking about the car) the actual client hasn't been named. Actually, the closest anyone came to naming the client was you, with the initials up there. Unless whoever did it previously, realized it before we found it, and fixed it themselves. winking smiley And yes, the MSC is in the thread title... which is why we've been watching.

Oh, I'm thinking this was done with the best intentions. As you may know this client makes the rounds with different companies. Second-to-none is taking their turn. Maybe they want to keep them long term.

Throw them a bone. Or perhaps a link to this thread.

THIS! A hundred times this!
I have done many of these shops with multiple companies. I eat a small piece of the pizza and then give the rest of it away to co-workers and neighbors and they love free food. My complaint with one company is the crazy IDs you have to change all the scanned files and pictures to. Each one has to be renamed with the assignment ID-site ID-top view, etc. This takes a lot of time besides all the time resizing the pictures. The other company requires you to download TWO pictures for each view and it takes forever to download all those photos. In addition, the "picture" of the receipt (the full one and the close up) is a scanned file so what sense does it make to download it twice? It's the same file and it is not going to change.
Hi there my name is cardboard. I wanted to express how insulted I feel when you say this pizza tastes like me. It does not I taste much better.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Siamese,

Open a Word file, type out the Assignment #-Location #, then copy and paste it two more times in the word file. Next to the first one, write -Top View. Next to the second, -Side View. Third one, Flip View. Last two, you'll be writing out the Receipt View and Closeup Box Label View.

Save your photos to your desktop in a folder, select one, click Get Details, File Name, then copy-paste the appropriate Name, adding a 1, 2, 3, or 4 at the end. Continue until done. Takes two minutes.

They do this as an added safeguard to cut down on you accidentally uploading pictures from a different shop, if you do these frequently.

LOL! Yup!

"Molesting the pizza" is such a loaded phrase.

I think "Mutilating the pizza" works much better for the version of the shop where half of the pieces need to be cut in half lengthwise, married like a sandwich, then stood on its side while asking them to say "Cheese" for the picture.

I have heard of numerous issues with this shop and that the pizza tastes horrible and that often shoppers don't get paid and that there are nightmarish photo requirements involved with this shop. NO THANKS! Got enough problems to deal with already, I'll pass on this shop.
IMO, by letting "Juan" stay in this thread, the mods are allowing the client to be identified, as there is only one pizza chain that has "Juan" in the name, albeit the Americanized form of "Juan".

I wish they would ask me why I don't like to do their shops. They just keep adding weird things the requirements: Like drawing lines from the date/order from the box to the place I wrote it on the form. The have made it easier to upload the pictures and you are only required to take two of each one rather than 4. I find that I need to scan the receipt from the box rather than take a picture of it since when I did it came out very light and unreadable.
They made the take-out impossible for me to do by requiring that all photographs be completed within 10 minutes of picking up the pizza. If I only lived 10 minutes away, they would deliver! Duh.... I did these for other MSC's for years, and never had a problem with the time to get home. Now they are pleading with me to get it delivered to a park. And what if it rains? The last MSC told me to take it into the restroom of a gas station. Really. That is what they told me to do.

Wow. That would sure be appetizing! Ick!
Might improve it.

I suspect given that this shop is shopped by at least four MSC's, anyone who has been MSing more than a month knew from the "mangled" comment who we were talking about. After all, if you've seen Juan, you've seen them all.

Time to build a bigger bridge.

Well, now you just had to go and tell everyone that, didn't you... and even explain it for 'em! Sheesh! winking smiley

StormCloud, I was fully expecting my last comment to be edited by the mods. I appreciate that the mods are volunteers, but this thread is so full of ICA violations [at least in spirit if not to the letter], that I'm shocked it hasn't been edited by any of the mods.

Maybe The (wonderful) Mod is enjoying the long Labor Day weekend with family and friends and is not on the forum. Since that may be the case, it might be better if you edited your own post rather than give The (highly entertaining) Mod something else to do when s/he returns. I will admit to being one who crossed the line regarding the information posted. In my defense, I have not been a fan of having the subject line only appear in the first post since. I open multiple tabs and cannot see the original subject line because it is too small. Because of that I completely forgot one of the plethora of MSCs with this shop had been mentioned. To save the moderator the trouble, I have edited my post.

I'm another one who would like the subject line on every post too. I don't like having to page back to remind myself what is the actual topic of the thread when it has wandered.

It amazes me the hatred that someone can get for making bad pizza. I mean I get all the other stuff, but 90% of the comments are about how horrible the pizza is. It's like you're all pissed off that the pizza is bad. If you think it's bad don't eat the f'ing pizza. It's pretty simple!

Because it sucks to put out your money on something that is inedible, even if you are being reimbursed for it. At the bonused rate of $25, it makes sense. But for the standard pay of $5, it is not worth it.

I do some FD and even casual or fast-casual places where they are reimbursement only, or pay very little, but covers reimbursement. If the food is good, it is worth it. $5 pay for mutilated, inedible pizza is not. They should raise the standard pay to at least $13.

The thing is, if the shop goes south and you don't get paid, normally you at least aren't really "out" the food cost because you got to eat. In this case the food is so lousy, it's not worth taking the risk of losing the shop to bad pictures and being out the cost of the pizza as well as your time.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I hate that the subject line doesn't appear with each post anymore, too! It's really easy to forget what the subject is, around here. winking smiley

STN never has pizza shops in my area in Minnesota. From the sounds of it, I guess I'm lucky.
