Maritz- Why?

RyanM,

There are plenty of professional companies looking for professional shoppers. Based on your immature rant, I don't believe you qualify.
Thank you for leaving Maritz to me. Kiss Kiss.

And you are a Greek Adonis? With that attitude, I would not hire you to clean toilets. On second thought, if it was the toilet that techman01 posted awhile back, I would make an exception.

Frankly, I don't like their extremely low pay for the requirements AND their old fashioned online system. Submitting an invoice and then never being able to check my previous shops has been the straw that broke this camel's back. Unless something with a huge bonus comes from them, I'm not taking their shops.
Challa... Maritz operates best for professional shoppers who keep their own records and invoices. I think Maritz, in a way, expects this. Submitting an invoice is SOP for any independent contractor, even ones outside of the shopping profession.

Re Invoices: Quite simple really - I make up a cheatsheet for each type of shop that I perform. This could be for a gas station to a bank shop. Each sheet is germane to the type of shop and how I design it to fit my individual needs.
For example: one of the gas station shops I do requires certain mandatory photos and mandatory counts of certain fixtures at the station. My cheatsheet lists the required photos as check-offs and fixtures to be counted.

As for the invoices, I have a space on each cheatsheet titled 'Invoice Date' in bold with a blank line next to it for the date to be recorded. That is my reminder to ensure I invoice after reporting my shop.

I also save my invoices under a Maritz file.

BTW, I've never once had a problem with any of the Maritz schedulers or editors. My experience with them has always been one of professionalism and a pleasant exchange of discussion.

Cheers

I just write the invoice number down on top of the first page of the report, which is usually the only page I print. If I've written the number down, I know I've invoiced it. Don't have any problems with them. In fact, I like Maritz very much.

I got my first paycheck today from them. They sure do pay fast. All other MSC have not paid yet and I have been shopping for a month now.

A handful pay in a couple weeks or less. For most, it's usually near the end of the month following the shop. I like Maritz a lot.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I'm sure it would be easier to streamline the process, but the joke is on me because I have a full time job, am in school, and am signed up for about 70 MSC's now! So... what am I thinking? No wonder I'm stressing.

I would just appreciate more than $6 for some of the hoops I've had to jump through. I asked if I could do email communication with one of the schedulers, and he couldn't even send me an email. Isn't this system a bit antiquated? When I do call them back on my own time, the person I need is rarely available. Then they call me back when I'm back at my desk. With the exception of one person, I always get super friendly service.

And the sticky note thing... now I understand. I never even thought about the ways that I could have "cheated" with that. Not that I would, but I can see why it's "illegal"!
I enjoy the calls...they have some of the sweetest females to listen to. But thats a guy thing.
I doubt the physical attributes of the employee have anything to do with the lack of response to the HOLD on your assignment. There is possibly a training issue that you could identify by calling a manager at Maritz. The company is always willing to talk with its shoppers to resolve issues.
I did one shop for Maritz recently, although I signed up years ago. I could never see shops, and no one seem to know what the issue was with their archaic web site. Finally, they fixed the glitch in my profile. I guess I found a scheduler who cared enough to refer it to an IT person. I have noticed I can't see a shop history or a payment for that shop, and I don't even know where to look. Do they use Paypal or direct deposit? Where do I see the payment info?

I took a shop for next week at the yellow station out of town because I'm going to be in that town doing my merchandising job. After looking through all of the paper work and the photos required, I sent them back an email telling them to forget it. i'm not printing out pages that would use over a dollar of toner. Nor will I put that much info into my tablet or laptop. I do this to try and make money, but what they are offering for the yellow stations I might as well be in a sweet shop overseas.
It's like spinach. Try it more than once, you may like it. You can't tell by looking. But okay, more for me.

Hi, Can someone explain the process of the invoice please.

Obviously I'm new with Matrix and I have no clue how to do it.

Thank you.
Once logged in, click on "Current Shops" then on "Submit an Invoice." It will ask for your Visit ID # and a receipt. If your shop was a non-purchase shop, your receipt is whatever POV (proof of visit) that you obtained, like a price quote, business card, etc... with your Visit ID # written on it.

I won't touch Maritz shops anymore. Sorry, but a gallon of gas and a pack of gum are hardly compensation for having to drive across town, take an upload a bunch of photos, print out lengthy surveys, etc....

And changing gears from Maritz, now that Market Force's "drive-in" shops require photo uploads for a measly $5 and don't allow any chicken or "Jr. size" entrees to allow me to stay within the TINY reimbursement amount, those are off my list too. I can only eat so many hot dogs, tots and Cokes at a place where I'd prefer to order a burger/chicken sandwich, onion rings and a shake!
If you mess up a Maritz invoice what do you do? I am organized and can keep track of what shops I have invoiced, but accidentally hit "submit" after I added the amount purchased but I did not add receipt and did not get the preview screen or invoice confirmation screen that the site shows. I realized I probably did something wrong and tried to resubmit. Besides using the email tool and explaining my error (which I did) is there a way to correct these invoices?
If there is a way to fix one, I hope someones tells both of us.

Since yours did not include the copy of the receipt or other proof of visit (for bank shops or others that do not involve a purchase), Maritz will contact you via E-mail if your invoice was incorrect.

The E-mail header will advise, 'Payment issue, Visit XXXXXX'. They shall ask for your receipt copy or whatever was missing from the invoice of that particular visit. If you did multiple visits in the invoice and submitted without all documentation, there shall be an E-mail for each particular visit.

It is alarming at first when one sees so many E-mails all at once. However, they are simply asking for the complete information of that particular visit. Just respond to the E-mail with the requested data and move forward.

Cheers!
