If I was going to ask people to break their ICAs, I'd shoot a little higher than dollar stores.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
jrfbrighteyes34, the forum rules prohibit our naming the company that shops a particular client. Our Independent Contractor Agreements with virtually every firm we register with also prohibit us from revealing 'confidential information' and virtually every company considers their client list to be 'confidential information'. So while BBird's comment seems a little snarky, the reality is that we can't help you.
Don't feel bad brighteyes! Hundreds of newbies like you have asked exactly the same question! In fact, pretty sure I asked it too when I first joined the forum! The only way you'll find out is to sign up with an insane number of companies and hope you come across them! Personally, I have never heard that they are shopped.

I've audited Family Dollar stores before, but the client was a completely separate company not related to Family Dollar. Not sure if this would count for the OP.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!

I chuckled, too, but agree it's snarky (I often find snarky funny). Of course, if I were the newbie who posted, not understanding that I was asking a question that meant others would have to break ICAs, I would probably prefer Flash's or jpgilham's answers.

I will admit that I chuckled as well, but as it was a response to a new member's first post, I felt it was inappropriate and thus responded. Now if LIJake would like to ask something where after being a member for almost a year he/she should know better, snarky as a response I would find completely appropriate.
This question brought back memories. DG used to be shopped by a company that went t-up years ago. This company had its own shopper forum, which became a disaster when cheques started to bounce.

Flash??? Could you re-phrase that run-on sentence so I can understand your point?
Thanks you guys. This is to funny. I have been shopping for ten years. Earlier today when I joined I did learn a few companies that shopped places from people. I didn't have to ask. Anyway. I forgot based on what a lot of people was posting. And FYI BBIRD O701. I have done cruise ships. So yes I would take a Dollar General. Money is green. No harm intended. Funny!!!!
I've done Family Dollar Merch assignments, where you measure the doors and ramps out back, but I have never done a FD Mystery shop..
I LOVE Dollar Tree ............... If only that is true and all D Generals turn into D Trees

Dollar General and Dollar Tree are in a fight to buy Family Dollar.
I was a newbie all that not long ago and still remember thinking that something like this was a legitimate question, since I knew nothing about "ICA violations". jrf, I don't believe Dollar Tree is shopped and, quite honestly, I don't remember who shops Dollar General, but am pretty sure they are shopped. Do some (or a lot) of research on this forum, sign up with a lot more Mystery Shopping Companies and you'll eventually find out. In the mean time, by doing so, you'll finds all sorts of other shops and make lotsa money in the meantime. smiling smiley

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
When I was new here, I'd been shopping for six to eight months. Those first couple months barely count, since I only did a handful of shops in each of them!

But, like many people do when it comes to 'fine print', I'd only skim-read the stuff I agreed to with the MSCs. Heh.

And, when I got here, I just figured that everyone all knew who shopped what and it wasn't a big deal, since many of the MSCs I started with freely advertised who the clients were. I didn't figure it was any big deal.

Then I learned! Ha! smiling smiley

Practitioner of the Nerdly Arts.
I merchandise those stores. I recall a mystery shop coming up for one of the cell phones sold at the Dollar General. I don't remember who had it. It may be a company I rarely work with since I haven't seen it since. I doubt that there are other things shopped there. The stores themselves are not shopped, to the best of my knowledge.

Family Dollar apparently made some mistakes by printing out sales sheets for each store frequently. Apparently, they were having financial problems. They decided to just have everyday low prices. I thought Dollar Tree had the contract to buy them, then I learned that Dollar General had tried to buy them and been rebuffed. I don't get assignments in Dollar Tree so I rarely go there.
I used to do the phone resets at FD until they got into financial troubles and had to find a sugar daddy.
Went in Dollar General last week, have not been in for a long time. This was a higher end of town. Surprised to see ALL health and beauty items like shampoo and deodorant are now housed in a locked case. All the H & B shelves were that way. You have to ask for any of those. Times have changed.
