Video Shopping with Eagle Eye

For the past few years I have been a shopper with Eagle Eye Retail Intelligence [www.eagleeyeshops.com]

In the same time I completed assignments with Corporate Research amongst others. I have to say it has been a totally different type of experience. Rather than fighting for $10 assignments I was given a recurring amount of shops on a monthly rotation in the same category. I was trained live, and even though I was an independent contractor, I was much closer to the company than I ever have been with any others.

The video component was interesting too. They spent a lot of time perfecting their process. The downside was that if my video didn't take I had to go back out and get the shop, but because I uploaded the video from the road in the rare cases this occurred the reviewer knew about the missing video within hours.

I'd recommend getting on the geographic list for Eagle Eye. When new routes are assigned they can be worth a $1-4k per month.

I used their contact link to send an email and will report on what I learn.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Well, I got a very prompt email reply from Jonathan Przybyl, inviting me to set a time next week for a phone call with him. They do not have open routes in my area at this time but expect to have something in the near future.

Looks like they use somewhat different equipment with a direct feed to their site. Looks very interesting.

When I worked for them they were still just developing their technology. There were a lot of changes going on at that time, and their website back then was pretty basic if I remember correctly.

You ought to just contact them however the website allows. To my knowledge they don't take on a huge quantity of people. I was doing nearly 200 audits a month...so if you do the math it doesn't take a huge amount of shoppers to cover a lot of stores. I rotated within a group of 4 auditors...meaning I rotated amongst 4 different routes that were similar to one another.
I had no exclusivity arrangement with Eagle Eye, but in truth I rarely did any other shopping. In having nearly 200 assignments per month to do it was just the right arrangement for me. Once in awhile I would pick up some rural Corporate Research International assignments that were paying really well, but then Eagle Eye actually acquired that client that I was picking up assignments for so I ended up just getting a larger route.

Eagle Eye was my main source of income, and enough to live comfortably. I typically did my routes on the weekends, and during the week either attended school during the beginning or later in my time with them did work that I really loved (not caring about the pay).

I suppose you could do work for as many companies as you would like, but an Eagle Eye route is a lot of work, and often takes you into areas where there is limited work for others.
