Why were your shops rejected?

I've found NSS to be fairly easy to work with, but just like every other MS company that has a particular pizza shop the requirements can be frustrating if you do not take the pictures perfectly. Any chance those are the shops you had rejected?

I have done a few pizza and non pizza shops for them and have found the reports straightforward and worth the fee even though reimbursements can be low.

Shopping for years, but new to the Chicago area.
Their reports are easy, although the pizza shop could be tricky. I use professional camera on those to play it safe.
I work with NSS quite a bit and the only one I had rejected was the pizza shop, which I will never shop again no matter which company they are with that day.
I shopped with NSS and I was able to add in the required Job ID and Location ID after the fact in Photoshop (it's really awkward to have the pizza in the shot along with that little piece of paper). They took two shops that way, then threw a fit about it a third and fourth time. For the pay/reimbursement, I don't feel that those shops are worth it.
They are the only company ive had a shop rejected with. I dont know why and I wasnt told it was rejected. I just logged in one day and saw it as.. I think it said report deleted? Or something. I emailed them and they never responded. I havent worked for them again.
I've had only good experiences with them. Just have to be sure to follow shop directions carefully.
I hav e never had a shop rejected by them. I won't work for a free pizza, so I wait until I an offered a reasonable bonus.

Mine wasn't a pizza shop (have only done "THE" pizza shop once and for another company) but a make-up counter shop. I still don't know what I did wrong. I followed the guidelines as far as I know (I always print, read and then skim right before going in). *shrug* I don't really care anymore. I log in every once in awhile and I only see pizza shops, so I'm not really missing much.

Does anyone know if NSS still has the make-up counter shop? I have only done it once so I don't know if they are on the board every month or not. They don't have a lot in my area so I rarely log on. Thanks!!

I saw the make up shops last month, but they're not there now.

I've been working for them since the 1990's. They paid me for a couple of Stroud's Linen shops when I know that they did NOT get paid by the client, since they (Stroud's) went bankrupt shortly after I did the shops for that round.

I had one pizza shop rejected because of photo size. So, I simply negotiated enough bonuses on the next rounds, so that we were "even" again. No big deal. My bad.
In my area (Pacific Northwest), high-end make-up counter shops are offered through About Face. I haven't done them yet because 1. They aren't conveniently located for me; and, 2. You have to make a purchase (reimbursed) of about $30 - I haven't had that kind of spare cash lying around for awhile. I may do one later when my budget is a bit further ahead. The guidelines are quite lengthy, so make sure you read through them thoroughly before you request. On the flip side, they don't seem to get booked very quickly, so they are usually bonused.
Thank you Kathy

I had signed up with them for over a year before I did any shops for them. I did two for NSS recently and it was a very good experience. The scheduler communicated well, was always available and responsive. Both assignments were heavily bonused.

I can't remember how long it takes them to pay as I did these a few weeks ago but I am pretty confident it will be fine as it went through quality control very quickly and is already on payroll. I don't know if that is the norm but again no horrible experiences.

I probably wouldn't do some of their shops for their regular fees which is why I think it took so long to do a shop with them tongue sticking out smiley

I enjoyed working with them for wine shops. Very easy to schedule the shops I wanted. Alas, they lost that client to an MSC that has never had many shops in my area.
I work with them from time to time, but I don't really enjoy the types of shops they have in my area, nor do I enjoy the reports. Their pay cycle is a bit long as well, so I only accept work from them that's pretty well bonused. Their schedulers are great, though--very nice, professional, and responsive.
For pizza shops with them, what's the bonus I should ask for? For the last two, I've received a $5 bonus. That's not much; especially considering they don't reimburse enough for the driver tip and I always pay more than they will cover.

I do shops for NSS sometimes, usually when they call and offer a bonus. I don't find the pizza shop hard anymore. In fact, one version is very easy now, with fewer photos required. However, my reluctance to work for them is because they pay/reimburse so slowly. I guess I am used to other companies I work with now that pay once a month or twice a month. It seems NSS is a month or two behind.
I just got paid by them yesterday.. They seem great so far. The people at NSS I've communicated with are profeasional and responsive.

I have to agree that the schedulers for this company are some of the most professional ones I work with. It's not their fault that the only stores they have in my area are the infamous pizza places :-)

No, it's not you. I had dumb pizza shops rejected over a year ago for dumb reasons (blurry pictures- wrong). Around that time I saw many complaints about the pizza shops. The few shops I did do, I was told that their payment service was "just like paypal" - it wasn't, in fact it was a bank that required all kinds of documentation that I refused to provide. My objected started all kinds of correspondence with NSS and led me to several postings warning about this company. I see now that they no longer use this service - they send checks. I did a pizza shop last week just to see if it gets rejected. Be leery.
I have never had any problems with this MSC. They understand that I will not work for food, only if I am paid a fee.

The NSS pay cycle is too slow and they are reluctant to put the bonus offers in their emails. I was called for a pizza shop and asked they send an email confirming the bonus amount. The email only stated there was a bonus and not the agreed upon $20 bonus. I do not consider that professional or trustworthy.
Yes, BE CAREFUlL wiht NSS....I eventually accused them of flat-out lying about their old payee (NOT like paypal). Apparently they had so many complaints like mine that they pay by check now.
