I would like to know about the company Market Force. I was asked for my banking information before an assignment. I did not provided my banking information.

Anyone can "pretend" to be Market Force.

Did someone email you saying they were Market Force?

The best way is to contact Market Force by phone. CALL them smiling smiley (Ask them if they sent it) but Not by ANY information in the body of that email but by searching online for the actual phone number. Once again, if you are registered with Market Force, they have the Help Desk where you click the link and the email goes to the editor/schedulers.

If you were an active independent contractor, I seriously doubt any MSC is going to ask for "banking information," unless it's for Direct Deposit. (even here, if you are established and have been receiving your Market Force checks via the mail and trust the company, THEN you sign up for Direct Deposit, to be SURE, call them to make sure all is up and up)....

Now of course, there could be "exceptions to the rule" but maybe other readers here can chime in if they have been asked for banking information. By that, I assume you mean account numbers/routing?

Some shops will ask if you have savings/checking with a certain bank. I have NEVER performed a shop where the MSC is asking for your personal banking account information. tongue sticking out smiley

I have performed shops at my bank and they do ask for my bank card and my drivers license but I am INSIDE my own bank, conducting a transaction or inquiry. smiling smiley
Not sure how you expect to be paid without banking information. I would call their help line though and make sure it's actually the real Market Force.
When asking questions, Carmen, you need to provide more information so we can understand what you are asking. My question to you would be whether someone contacted you by telephone or e-mail and asked for your information or whether you were on the Market Force website. If you were asked in an e-mail or telephone call for personal information, I would say that is not legitimate.

If you were on the Market Force website and you registered, and you were then asked for your bank information, on that website, then it is definitely legitimate. You were required to provide your SS#, because any earnings are taxable. MF will report earnings over $600 with a 1099.

Market Force has two payment options. You can receive a check in payment or your earnings can be direct-deposited. If you want to utilize direct deposit, you must provide your personal bank account routing number. The advantage to getting direct deposit is that you receive payment about two weeks earlier than you would receive a check.

If you don't trust them, do a few shops first, get paid by check.

Cash the check, wait for it to clear, then provide your account info to receive Direct Deposit.

Or not, and just keep getting paid by check. Up to you.

Great responses. I updated my online information a while back so I cold receive payments by direct deposit. If this is what you are asking about, then it is safe to do. They do not ask for this information any other way.

I am new here, your reponse pretty much covers my observations related to many posts made in this forum. Fortunatly I found some old threads discussing this, made me feel better about having the same thoughts.

Bottom line; if the majority of people posting ambiguous complaints or questions here, were as clear and thoughtful with their mystery shopping reports, I can see why they are having issues.

I see the same people complaining about piddly pay from companies that are forever calling me with bonuses.

Makes me realize I'm doing something right.

The funny thing about MarketForce is the fact that the schedulers are from out of the country and a 419 scammer would not sound much different than a real scheduler from that company who is calling you to ask you to go to a FF shop 20 miles away the next day at a very busy tourist mall in a metro area for a small bonus.
Thank you for all your positive posts. When I was asked to provide bank information to Mark Force, I was not given any options regarding payments. It did not feel right. Some companies will tell you they only pay by pal pay or send a check, some will say bank only. Your comments were very assuring. I am new to Mystery Shopping. I'm learning from the posted forum. My intentions were not to confused anyone, especially New Mystery Shopping. At times, I go back to the post forums, I am learning the positives and negatives of Mystery Shopping. I am new and reluctant at times as what to post. Thank you again. Carmen from Florida.
I was paid by check and then I set up a completely seperate savings account and gave them the information. I've never had a problem. They pay promptly around the 11th-12th of the month following the previous month's shops. If you wait for a check, they process them about a week later and you usually get the check on around the 20th.
