I messed up...

I completely misunderstood how the new MSC worked and blamed Sassie and Kern unjustly. I am very sorry. Thank you all for setting me straight!

Are you talking about your average rating with the new company? Typically, new MSCs start you out at "5", until you do a shop for them. Is that the problem?

Please identify the company and, I assure you, you will receive lots of valuable information.

PS
Kern is a scheduling company and Sassie is a platform, so I don't think they could have any impact on your scores and so you may want to change the title of the thread.

Again, neither Sassie nor Kern were to blame here. It was completely my fault.

I'm sorry if I posted this thread incorrectly. Frankly, companies like Kern and Sassie are still very confusing to me. Kern says that everyone on their site gets a 5 regardless of performance. If you would like me to remove the post, alter it or move it, please tell me specifically how I should change it and I will take care of it. Thank you.

***I edited my individual posts here as well as the title. I could not find a place to delete the entire thread but I hope that I have made it clear that I was the one at fault. I thank everybody for educating me and apologize to Kern and Sassie.***

I had a similar thing with Kern. They explained to me that when they schedule for a company, your rating only updated on that company's site. The only way for it to change on Kern's site is for them to schedule you for a shop they are actually doing, so not a shop they are scheduling for an MSC. They would be the MSC in this case.

Bare starts everyone at a 5, as do most companies until you do a shop for them.. Then your first score becomes your average score. I know it's frustrating, but you will be able to get a job. When you pick the date when you apply, offer to send a sample or tell them you have experience with other companies, etc.

Thanks to all the forum members!
The reason I suggested changing the title is that Kern Scheduling Services (KSS) is a scheduling company. Their schedulers can answer your questions, however they do not rate your shops. Since you created the thread, you can go to your post and click "edit". It will allow you to change titles as well as the content of posts. You can change it to whatever you want.

What Lori Kern was explaining is that Bare, not Kern, starts all of their new shoppers out at "5". It has nothing to do with your past performance for any other company.

If you have questions for Bare, Tabitha, a representative from Bare, has been recently posting on the forum.

Just echoing what has been said. Like most companies, Bare starts you at a 5.

There are plenty of MSCs that give you a max score if 5 btw.

I am pretty sure you were not assigned the shop for some other reason.

I've never heard of such a thing. Everyone's ratings start at 5 I believe. I would ask for further clarification if it matters that much to you

Some shops require proven shoppers, so they require your score to be at least an 8 with *that* company for *those* shops. Bare has shops anyone can do; do one of them, get your 9 or 10, and the next time they have a shop requiring an 8 or better, you can apply for it.

There are hundreds of mystery shop companies; each has its own ratings and as far as I know, they do not share them.

Time to build a bigger bridge.

If you call BARE directly, she's the person that'll likely answer the phone as well.

You have never done a shop for Bare, so your score is a 5. It has nothing to do with Kern or Sassie.
I want to thank all of you, who have commented on this. I am sorry for passing my confusion on and I have learned something new due to my peers here on MSF. I am grateful for this site and for all who are willing to pass on your knowledge. I am in your debt.
