Payday loans at H&R Block

OMG. Have you seen the fee for this now? $150 a piece and there are a lot of them showing up on the boards. It seems no one wants to do them. Many who shop do not have a regular job with a paycheck. Many do not want their credit score to be hit.

Yeah. I hope they can change the guidelines or something.

They are NOT getting completed. sad smiley
I *think* those are loans against future tax refunds? But if they're actually just payday loans that have nothing to do with the tax return maybe I should take a look at them again. Payday loans usually don't hit the credit score. I'm trying to get a mortgage so I can't take any more hits right now. But I have a real job with a paycheck now so if there's no hit and no connection to a tax return I may be willing to do one.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
You ask to borrow $1000 and they put the amount on an Emerald card. Hits hits I say. Too bad really. sad smiley
I signed into the MSC a few minutes ago and the first page that popped up, showed the shops in red! It startled me, hahaha. It's too bad a lot is required for these shops. I see $1200 sitting there that I cannot do.
I can't do these either because my husband and I don't get any refunds at the end of the year.
Are they going to be at $200 soon? These are not pay day loans they are actual loans with a hard credit check but how I wish I could snap a few up.
Anyone is willing to give a hint which MSC has these shops? I'm assuming they're available in Canada?
They are going to be $200, a fly on the wall told me today.

The company that does them is huge! and yes, they do Canada also.
I asked the MSC a month or so ago if a directly deposited Social Security check or directly deposited pension check would work in lieu of a paycheck...negative on both counts. sad smiley

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
When my car needed a transmission, I got a payday loan. It helped that the owner of the business has known me well for years, but I am independent like the rest of you. I signed up for one of these but oddly my local H&R is open for that purpose only three days a week. The phone number I called was specifically for Emerald loans. Maybe it isn't open more than that anyway because it isn't tax season. Anyway, today was the day I was going to do it and it is closed. There is no other choice for a reschedule. I was called about it yesterday but was in another county and not sure what time I could get there. When I agreed to do the assignment, I mentioned the possibility of a hit. I was also wondering if this really is a "payday loan" like the other companies have. If so, I might be turned down because I still have a balance--which I am paying off diligently. The scheduler didn't mention that possibility. As another aside, someone told me that you can't even pay your balance or take out more money in a neighboring town but have to go back to the same town where you live. If, for example, your transmission went out in another county, you could not get a loan there because you don't live there even though there is another business of the same chain in your hometown.
Well? I signed into the MSC this morning and I do not see those shops anymore. (in my area that is)

They might have to talk to the client about changing the requirements.

There were so many of them not getting done.
