Stuck in limbo with Ardent

I waited almost one whole year! When they finally had classes, it was a 15 min. drive. I've been doing work for this client for several months and love it. I'm spoiled though because I'm surrounded by shops and after you get used to the reports it's totally great. There are usually one or two orphans if I need more. Love the people in this company- great regular pay. smiling smiley

Finally got the e-mail about the training but when I replied it was already filled. I hope there is another training soon since I would like to work for this company. Don't care so much about the burritos - just looking to get a foot in the door since they have such a great reputation.
Actuallt I get the same ones a lot. None of the ones near me though. Mostly on the other side of town. I'm over there for other work and stuff anyway, but it's still kinda weird.

And I get the same locations over and over again. Although if I get the same location next month I plan to turn it down if the question to ask is still the same as last month. Asking that Q again of the same person will definitely show them I am the shopper. Today was buy one of a certain filling get another anything free later. I went to the restaurant as a regular customer specifically to throw them off if they think I am the shopper by doing something different than I usually do. Alas, they were all out of the buy one get one free offer by 2 PM. The young teen something year old manager did not even offer an apology but did tell me the entire city ran out early in the day. She said there were no rainchecks. They are generally quite generous at this restaurant so I was surprised. If it had been a shop I could have reported that.

You mean the get a *certain item* now, get a free order later deal? All you need is your receipt from today's shop.

I know they've been handing otu some other bogo cards to at some places to.
Has anyone in Texas been accepted for the upcoming training?

Silver Certified, I own my own PV-500, and I do shops in and around the DFW area.
I received a note of upcoming training in about 30 locations in the February and March.

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
I got an email from Karen early last week and she said the people that were accepted would be emailed later in the week. This was after I emailed her three times. I never heard anything. Trying for the FTW one.
I emailed a second time today and received an email response and acceptance later. These were the zip codes she sent in her email confirmation to me:

That sounds extremely suspect and not the REAL Ardent Services, Inc.

I'd suggest contacting Ardent Services right away to confirm if you're really shopping for them or being scammed.

Any time you're given suspect instructions to wire money (not traceable!), this is an easy sign of a scam.

To my knowledge, Ardent's main assignments revolve around restaurants, not money transfers.

Is there any reason to contact Ardent other than to let them know their name is being used. Three assignments a week does not add up to $1,000. Receiving a check BEFORE performing any work doesn't happen.

My question regards you being scammed before. Since you are familiar with the scam, why would you think this was any different? We can wish for insanely easy money all we want, it's not going to make it anything other than a dream.

Mystery shoppers are actually small business owners. We contract with companies to perform assignments. We often invoice the companies and are paid anywhere from 30 to 90 days AFTER performing the work. Average pay can be as low as $4 up to $15 per assignment. You can see three assignments would only gross $12 to $45. A far cry from $1,000.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
For whatever reason, I overlooked the $1000 pay part....

To simplify all this, if the pay sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

If this scam's coming out of the Philippines, then that's a huge come up for the scammer! $1000 = ~45,000 PH Pesos. That's a ton of money out there, for sure.

Besides, I thought Ardent only had one client, which is not a money transfer place.

Yummy.....

$1,000 burrito. Sounds like they are filling it with the best caviar and probably using some gold leaf in the wrapping process.
I bet there is some rare truffle from France inside it too.
Jeez, if I had known they had increased the payment this month I would not have declined my shops. Now I am kicking myself. They only increased it once before and that time it was $2. Now that it is $1000 I bet these shops will be really hard to get.
I'm told they have another client in some parts of the company. I hope they branch out and pick up some more clients. I've enjoyed working with them.
This is a SCAM! The scam artists use real Mystery Shopping Company names as part of their scam to make it seem real. Ardents real shops do not pay anywhere near that amount.
