Market Force

I have been a Mystery Shopper for only several months. The good is I want to put in a good word for the Market Force Company. The bad is I went through serious illness during the holidays. I had to rescheduled my assignments on many occasions due to illness. The bad is Mark Force told me I could not continue to reschedule theaters assignments and I would lose the opportunity to seek these type of assignments (theater assignments) in the future. After explaining my situation to Market Force, Market Force understood. The help desk is very helpful, they get back to me in due time and my questions are answered. Market Force you have my vote. Thank you Market Force. I enjoyed working for this company and enjoyed the work I do. romanfcarmen.

They're okay in my books. The helpdesk always contacts me within a few hours with a reply to any question I have and if it's late at night, they get back to me in the morning. Always.
Why did they deactivate you? Did something happen or was it just one of those random deactivations? Maybe you already told us why the deactivation and I missed it or I've forgotten it. Maybe my Alzheimers kicked in and I lost that tidbit of information. If so, sorry but I'm not clear on why they deactivated you. If they were so great when you were with them and you made $2500 per check, how can they be bad now? Lots of us would love to have a relationship with a company that paid us $2500 per check but we would not expect it to last a lifetime. Maybe you did so much work for them they wanted new eyes in your area. It could be as simple as that. Or maybe you were deactivated over some issue, and that happens, too. There are disagreements in the work world every day.

Just because we leave a company, or have to leave a company, or we are asked to leave a company, does not mean the company is a bad place to work. If that were true then every company would be bad place to work because people leave companies all the time. Contractors move on just like employees move on and that is no reflection on the contractor or the company. It just means the relationship is over.

Your constant criticism of this company is interesting but it doesn't hurt them. They have more shoppers than they need and there are always more waiting to come on stream. The time you take to run them down indicates they have seriously hurt you and you're not able to let it go. At this point it doesn't appear the relationship can be repaired and the only result of what you're doing will be to make your own situation worse.

I like Market Force. Their shops make good filler if I am in an area and want to round out my schedule. The one referral I made was for my niece to sign up with MF. It gave her great experience for other companies. After a few months she was deactivated and this upset her. She called and spoke to someone and was told since she did not take offers from the "other" schedulers-she was done (she doesn't eat FF). There are a lot of other shoppers in her area so it was easier for them to remove her. Whatever the reason the company is good for beginners or as filler.

I'm not sure about that reason they gave your niece. I don't eat FF either so I don't take those shops. I have been working for MF for years, only 2 maybe 3 clients.
Cool, now you're recommending fraud.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

It would be a serious mistake to sign up with an MSC and give them a fictitious address. Dishonesty is not the best policy and it is not necessary to lie and cheat to do well. We will always have liars and cheaters but that does not mean we have to become one ourselves.

Unfortunately that does not narrow it down much since these trolls keep multiplying under the guise of another forum name. They are like Gremlins. Don't get him wet, keep him out of bright light, and never feed him after midnight.
Sybil2- I suspect my niece was not patient with understanding the foreign schedulers' forcefulness. I've tried to tell her don't answer the phone when they call.
BillBryan- Since you have to give them the SSN I do not know how that would work. Actually she is making more now than she was with MF. For her it was a lesson learned, the risks of being an IC. I told her what the company was about and not to become too complacent or comfortable with MF.
Marketforce/CRI theater side = good stuff. I'm carrying their water in the Houston area. I've still got a few installs to do today for them (with a sidekick who also juggles for TES, FWIW) and it's been non-stop for several days now.

I'm going to hate having to get a real job. It feels great doing open checks and being social rather than being married to huge grad school textbooks.

I'm sure they are happy that I answer my phones for them. The other portal....no way I was answering anything that wasn't from Georgia, period.
I have 11 phone numbers saved in my phone for Market Force. I answer 10 of them.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I have all the schedulers saved in my phone and when my phones rings, I know exactly who they are. smiling smiley
Is that what you did? Enter a fictitious address or some such? Is that why they deactivated you?

One good trick to use is to enter an address on the MF system for some post office located in a remote area like Hobbs, NM where MF has few or no shoppers. They don't verify your address and they are not interested in deactivating shoppers in areas where they have poor coverage, such as Texline, in West Texas.

"One good trick"... as if we're here to "trick" the MSCs into giving us work.

They'll figure it out when they send you your 1099 and it comes back "address unknown."

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Speaking of $2500 check for a month from MF, how the heck do you do it? I bust my ass for $600..tongue sticking out smiley
Have any of the NYC area shoppers seen the NYC only camera/electronics store shops? I don't think I've seen them for a month or two, and I'm wondering where they are (and also checking that I didn't accidentally block myself from them).
SunnyDays2 - I was wondering the same thing : ) .... but after all the hullabalou I am afraid to ask.
I don't do the NYC shops you're referring to, but they're always on my list. No, I haven't seen them this month.

I love working for MarketForce, they are my bread and butter along with my other favorite MSC. All this talk of deactivation has me worried. I am doing about 40 shops per month with them and they are all local businesses, so I don't spend alot of $$ on gas and the reports are so easy. Now I triplecheck everything!
