Market Force website change

I check the MarketForce site every morning for new shops, using the Chrome browser on my iPad. Chrome always logs me into the site automatically. This morning, I get a message saying that I'm not using Chrome and that Chrome is best for the MF site. I dismiss the message since I'm using Chrome. Then I find myself at a new MF site design and must log in manually (after reminding myself of my shopper ID). When I go to the shop search page, I find the new map display and a list of shops. But there's no description of the shop category (fast food, gas station, etc). Have I wandered into a MF twilight zone or is this the way it's going to be from now on? Annoying.

No fee, no shop.

There is a little icon on the left hand side if you hover over it it will display type of shop.

Upon quick glance I can see (albeit small) icons for: fast food, retail, grocery (pic of grocery cart) under shop type.

Thanks, RM, but that doesn't seem to work with the touchscreen on my tablet. Or the icons are too small for me to identify.

MF has been providing updates for a while now about switching over and thanking beta testers.

I just logged in from my phone. The icons are easy to use, just zoom in.. Plus the details in the 'fee' and 'action' fields identify the shops very well regardless of the icons.

Oh, they're trying this again.

I cannot view the right hand column to select a shop. It doesn't display it.

*I clicked the shop type and it made the display show on the right. It is narrow, but I can now see it. On my cell phone, I cannot view the whole page. Only 1/2 of it displays.

I use Safari to check for jobs on my iPad, and it works fine.

On my cel: After logging in I used the menu icon on the top right. This opened the usual selections on the left. I then turned my phone sideways and the results are easy to see. Before that I had to manipulate the screen too much to read them.

Cool! If you shoot a yellow radiation symbol on the map, it turns into a bunch of blue radiation symbols. If you shoot a blue radiation symbol, it turns into a few red ones. Sometimes when you shoot a red one, it turns into two red ones right next to each other. I haven't figured out yet how to kill the red ones, though.
No worries - I'll get 'em. I've only got one report left, and then I've got all night to play MF Map.

I haven't seen any of this stuff in my FF browser. Ever!

I can tell that I'm getting old because I find changes like these annoying.

All is good this morning. I now can see the links to accept their shops.

I really wish shop location would filter by radius (closest to me first) instead of an alphabetical place list

With over 700 jobs listed and many times over 1000, I don't like being able to view 4 at a time until I scroll. Then the next page doesn't go to the top...I dislike it when they change things.

Are you saying the site is radioactive?

MarketForce tells me their site is no longer compatible with tablets and phones. Sad step backwards.

But now I have. Checked it out this morning, not impressed. Plus I have absolutely no interest in switching to Chrome or even installing it just to be able to enjoy the features of one web site. It works well enough in FF, but overall it's a flawed design.

I did my reports about an hour ago. The first one I did with IE11. The second one I used Chrome.

I could not save my (summary) report with IE11 but could with Chrome. I installed Chrome just for Market Force. I don't usually use it much.

Uggggg I hate it. You can no longer right click on details and open up the shop in a new window. It wouldn't be a big deal if you could hit the back button and go right back to where you are, but you can't. You go to your default search.

Stuck on a shop this morning - an audit and I never, ever print out all those pages. I am not wasting ink. I have an iPhone and an iPad and, of course, today is the day the new web site goes live. Good thing I have done the audits before. Why would they go live with the new website and insist on using Chrome? The website needs to be compatible with more than one search engine. Dumb. Really dumb.

I can't login using my iPhone. I have to wait until I can get to my laptop.

Go to the Apple Store and get their Chrome app for your phone.

I have Chrome in my phone and it...works. It does not work well, but it works. I don't know what they think "optimized" means, but the new website is a pain in the ass to use.

I installed the Google Chrome app on my iPhone but MF is still telling me I'm not using Google Chrome and won't let me sign in.

I'll repeat what I reported above: MarketForce says its new website is not compatible, at this time, with tablets and smartphones. Even with Chrome. MF says it's working to restore compatibility. Why they made the switch now is hard to understand. On my iPad, I can force Chrome to work on the MF site, but it's not smooth. Haven't tried it on my smartphone. It works well on my desktop.

I can use IE on my computer with MF, but Chrome gives me a privacy issue and won't log in. I'll keep using IE since I have no idea why Chrome doesn't work with them. The HTTPS changes to HTTP when I try to log in and it won't let me. I absolutely hate searching for jobs now on their new site. It's way too tedious. IMO, it's not an improvement at all, unless you like to play with the maps.

There is a minor difference that will make a big difference to me. You know how, when filling in a report, you could hit "enter" to get to the next page? Now you have to mouse down to the "next" icon and click it. To me, this will impact how many assignments I accept because scrolling with a mouse can sometimes be painful for my wrist. Very minor change that would make a big deal to me.

I really, really dislike the changes! It was so much easier to tell which type of shop before, and I am finding that my first login fails each time, and I have to login twice each time. It's definitely NOT an improvement this time! It's the opposite! I've been doing shops for MF since 2012, and love it, but don't love the new board AT ALL...I hope they switch it back SOON!
