Jennifer Gladding at Summit email

Hi,
Just got the following email from Jennifer Gladding at Summit Editing
with an attachment. No intention of opening it but wondering if
anyone else had received it? I've dealt with Summit Scheduling and
it is tax time but this sounds too fishy.
Brian

I know there is a Jenn from Summit but the header said it was from Summit Editing.
With the poor grammar and attachment it looked suspicious.

Instead of opening the email or wondering if you should, you could send an email to jenn at Summit and ask if she sent it or knows about it. If it's not legit, I think Summit would want to know that someone is using their name in a scam. If it is a legitimate email, you'd want to know that.
I've worked with her this week and haven't received anything like that. Do you have her email? I thought she was a scheduler. If you need her email address, you can PM me. If it's a virus, she should know about it so she can contact her shoppers just in case they obtained her address book.
It's not legit. I received it also. If you look on their Facebook page, it says, do not open it, delete it. They are looking into how it got out.
Thanks... I got two of them and I'm not registered to work with Summit.
I'm always looking to expand the companies I work with, anybody know anything about Summit?
Thanks
Emails like that are called spoofing. The email looks like it's from someone you know.

I got a spam email from myself at my on personal email and my own email address was spoofed.
