In my experience Dee, the higher the reimbursement, the more abuse my keyboard is going take. And since I know the shop is all about writing, I may just go ahead and avoid it! Does anyone else consider avoiding shops because of excessive writing? ;-0

Re: Freeman Group
I actually gravitate towards shops that require detailed narrative. I would much rather spend an extra hour at the keyboard to get a fine-dining experience than jump through a few less hoops for average food.

It's not getting reimbursed in a timely manner than I can't stomach.

Like Stever, I am all over what is left of fine dining here. To me, they are worth the writing. :-)

The bummer is when it is FD with all the narrative expectations and the meal is just pathetic. You come away so infuriated it is difficult to stay objective so the reports take forever with narrative written, rewritten, edited and rewritten again to take the sting out and leave the objective meat. Doing that in a paragraph is not bad. Doing it over the whole narrative is one of those two coffee pot nights.

I have done a shop for them a month ago. The narrative is long and detailed but that is acceptable if you know it ahead of time. They pay late and that is something that you either accept or not. That is a shoppers issue. At least they normally pay and you do not have to sue them. The answer: Know the ground rules before swinging the bat and if acceptable, stop the bitching.

Re: Freeman Group
I had to go directly to Freeman himself to get paid on a 9 month overdue shop last year. However, I was paid within hours of contacting him directly.

I am still waiting for payment on a November 6th hotel stay. I submitted the report on time and it was accepted. I have sent several emails with no response thus far from the scheduler, but after reading the previous posts I suppose I may be in for an even longer wait.

I urge you to be proactive about getting your payment. If you do nothing, you will for sure sit with a group of other shoppers in line to get paid. Visit their web site, and take names. You can get yourself paid. It worked for me.

Again another instance when I have to become more agressive with regards to payment. I have been blessed to work for many companies that pay so regularly that When a few don't, it almost falls through the cracks. Buty you are correct. I am kicking butt and taking names from now on. I will be paid.
