Horrible Experience with Monterey

I had exactly the same issue with Franchise Compliance. No luck fwith the Utah BBB or the Utah Attorney General. I was owed money perhaps a year before they went belly up. I got lucky. I sent Adam Valdez, at every physical and email address I could find, copies of the letter which I was going to send to television stations throughout Utah. I pointed out that at least one of them would probably knock on his door since it would be a good story. I was one of the very rare people who got paid. [Before people get confused again, carpet cleaning is now being done by an MSC with a similar name. It is NOT the same company. The current MSC pays promptly.]

If you could PM me any addresses I would appreciate it. I figure he is long gone by now but I wouldn't mind sending him a letter such as yours. If he isn't in Utah anymore it won't do me any good and it's a long shot that I would get anything out of it...but worth a try.
What an awesome company Monterey is, staffed by professionals. I had a shop last week, so I told the scheduler about this thread. Other companies usually post here and name the shopper and tell what really happened. Surprise! This company is too professional to play he said-she said on an internet forum with a Johnny-One-Time. The scheduler told me Monterey has a good reputation and trusts that its shoppers know them and won't believe a lie posted by someone who registered here only to trash a company for revenge, so they will not reply.

I also got an e-mail response.

Thank you so much for letting us know. The truth bears no resemblance to what really happened. Unfortunately he is disgruntled. We pride ourselves on giving helpful, friendly customer service and the things he said to us over the phone and printed on the website were hurtful and untrue.

I appreciate your kind words,

And all's well that ends well. Skipspear appears to be gone. I believe the company. It's easy to register anonmously on a forum and dump some trash. It's harder to build and maintain a reputation.
Thanks for posting this.

I respect a company president who struggles to build a good reputation and stands behind it, confident that his shoppers will trust their experience with the company rather than the emotional tale (with no actual facts) and name-calling of an anonymous stranger.
Monterey has always paid me and been a good company to work for. I always take a screenshot of the confirmation for companies using prophet. I save this in the folder with pics relating to that shop on my laptop.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
