Unpopular Pizza Shop

I see that Intellishop has a posting for everyone's favorite pizza shop. Still asking for the same pictures. Not sure if that means the pizza shop is moving its contract to Intel. or if it's a trial run.

Yep. I'm doing my first pizza shop today. Wish me luck. Only 2 photos required, one of which is the receipt page.

ETA: Just completed the report and it was easy. Too bad the pizza was nasty. I haven't had this pizza in 10+ years and I'd forgotten how gross it is. I'd rather eat a frozen pizza from the grocery store.

I'm really liking Jets pizza. I never tried them until I was asked to shop them. The 8 corner pizza is really good compared to other franchise pizza places.

I have shopped for the Botox man with three different companies in as many months.
If it's the pizza client I think it is, NSS still has some as well. Haven't seen any with other MSCs in a while.
I have been doing them forn ntellishop for a year. They have them for different locations compared to NSS.
I did one yesterday with Intellishop. I haven't done one in years, but I thought I would give it another try since they dropped the mutilation portion.
I don't know if I am on the same page. I did Intellishop and the pizza was disappointing to say the least. But the meticulous nature of the photos was ridiculous. The shop takes five minutes, the 2 photos take an hour. AND I got my first 9 score (as opposed to 10) EVER because the photo was slightly crooked apparently and required editing.

Yeah..done with that audit.
Both Intelli & NSS have the same pizza client. I stopped doing these because the Pizza isnt that great #1, #2 all the cut and smash pizza together and picturing is quite ridiculous. Once the client realizes no matter how many MS companies they go through until they stop requesting the pizza to be uneatable by the time their requirements are done hopefully they will stop it.

How could it take an hour to snap 2 photos, one of which is the receipt page? For Intelli-shop you don't have to mutilate the pizza. You simply have to take an overhead, 90-degree photo with the shop# and store # written on the pizza box. Am I missing something? It took me maybe 2 minutes to take both photos.

ETA: I just received a score for my shop. A 9 out of 10, stating that they had to edit something on the receipt page. Not sure what they had to edit, and don't care as long as I get paid. It was an easy-peasy shop, but not sure I'd do it again for the $10 pizza and $5 bonus.

Phoebe70- I am afraid that people who take me literally are rarely going to get my posts. No, I did not spend an hour taking two pictures. I was over exaggerating to express annoyance.

My issues with the shop are petty...but there are enough petty issues that they add up. One issue that I have is how specific you have to be with the 90 degree angle and writing redundant information on the pizza box and on the receipt sheet. Another issue is that you have to actually go to the trouble of printing a receipt sheet so that you can write redundant information on it. Another petty issue is the topping choices and how:

yes- you can get mushrooms...but only with onion...or you can get green pepper but only with tomatoes..but getting mushrooms and green peppers...now THAT is out of the question (please remember...I am exaggerating to express annoyance and may not have quoted that exactly).

So to your point "not sure I'd do it again for the $10 pizza and $5 bonus." That is exactly the same thing I am saying. I am just elaborating on why $5.00 and crappy pizza isn't worth it.

For $15.00 I will break out the HD camera and a Protractor and give you 90 Degrees and waste time, toner and paper printing out a receipt sheet. I still find it annoying that the client doesn't trust our professionalism/intelligence enough to match the pizza to the store location so I have to write that out in the images. But again -for $15.00- okay.

For $25.00 I will even throw in an image of a G.I. Joe action figure with the kung fu grip surfing over a cheese wave while balancing on a piece of pepperoni.

But for $5.00 and crappy pizza you don't get to tell me that you are taking a point away because I submitted a photo that was 91.7 degrees (again...this is exaggeration for effect) instead of 90 degrees.
LOL, M of M! I'm cracking up over the image of a surfing GI Joe action figure.

I was surprised at how awful the pizza tasted. How does Botox Juan stay in business with the crappy quality of their food?
@Phoebe70: I'm guessing that it doesn't hurt that there are thousands of mystery shoppers buying the pizza. grinning smiley

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

I totally get what you are saying. Now that it requires only 2 photos the job is much better, but yes, I have spent what seems like an hour getting the photos right including taking many pics and then discovering once they are transferred to the big monitor screen they are too blurry. And that printing out and rewriting you mention is the worst. They pay nothing feewise generally for the shop and then want you to spend time, paper and ink too. In fact in my area you are out of pocket $3 when you take this job with no bonus and no fee. The one I shop(ped) for promised to reimburse me if the cost was over their maximum reimbursement and then reneged on the deal. They must have found some other sucker to do my local store as they stopped calling me with big bonuses and now send emails offering a $2 bonus which still leaves me out of pocket.
Actually, the client wants to see the pizza, the entire pizza, the garlic cup, the peppers basically to the edge of the box and the site ID and assignment ID all in the picture. I have snapped a few shots (in my preview) and would not submit any not showing all the above but see that sometimes I don't get it perfect. That's why I look at what I took, if I don't think the shots cut the mustard, I take more pictures. (client will reject if even a tiny part of the pizza or ID signage is not fully in the picture) When I think I have it right, then I take a bite of the semi-warm pizza....(hot when it arrives but not after you have opened the box and taken pictures) But the more you do the shop and if you like the pizza AND it's bonused, you can make some decent money. smiling smiley ( I stress the "bonus" part as I will no longer do them without the bonus)
I have a free camera app on my Android phone that I use just for them. It has a level you can turn on in the advanced settings.

This way I get my perfect 90 degree shot: [opencamera.sourceforge.net]

Open Camera is improving to the point it may become my default camera app soon.
Thanks scanman. I just looked at that app and like the fact that the sound can be turned off. I am installing it now to try it out.

Sheesh, the shops are so easy now. It's not hard to take one photo. It does depend on the location as to the quality of the pie, though. I have about 20 locations within 30 miles of me, and out of them there are 4 that I do like. I know it's a franchise but some of them don't make good pizza. If they let the dough rise too long or not long enough, it changes the quality of the crust, of course, and some of them don't add enough cheese or put too much sauce on it...anyway, I won't do them without a bonus. I always get $23 (as high as they will go with bonuses for this client) and the cost of the pizza. If it's one of the locations I don't like I give the pizza to my neighbor's kids.
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the shop now is. And I'm unpleasantly surprised how disgusting the pizza was. The only good thing was the garlic butter and the pepperoncini.
My son's friend used to work for the "botox" pizza place when he was in High School. I mentioned this many threads ago but for new people...at the store he worked they encouraged the staff to short the pizzas on a small amt of cheese and toppings off each pizza during the day so they could gather enough ingredients to make enough pizza at closing time so all staff could enjoy some. He quit shortly after he was asked to do this by the manager. Count those peperoni and make sure they give you the right amt! As shoppers I know you don't need another thing to do to get your "free" pizza! If you are a scheduler reading this ignore my suggestion.
sandyf,

How are we supposed to know how many pepperoni slices or other toppings go on a pizza? Just curious.
I thought these were really easy, especially compared to the old ones where you had to "mutilate" the pizza. Won't do one for $5 but no problem doing it for $10. The pizza here isn't bad, though not my favorite.
The new MSC started off by offering just reimbursement. Then a $5 bonus as the fee. I was waiting for $10 as the fee, but apparently others are willing to do take-out for $5. I am equidistant from 3 of the stores, but none of them will deliver to me.

This is my 3rd company for these pizza shops. I applied for one last week and I was told that the shop was unavailable, but it was still on the job board. I contacted the scheduler and I was told that I could no longer do these shops because I was identified as a shopper. I found this strange since I just made the call and picked up the pizza. My daughter who lives in a different state was told the same thing. Weird ...
I am curious why it seems to be so "de rigueur" on this board to trash this pizza. So many people here seem unable to mention this company without using words like "disgusting", "nasty", "inedible", etc. On the contrary, I find the quality of this pizza to be *vastly* superior to its primary competitors (though obviously not as good as something like Mod). In fact, I find most of the competitors' pizzas to be nasty grease bombs (especially that bake-it-yourself place). This company claims to use high-quality ingredients, and I've seen no reason to doubt that. If you look at the ingredient list, the only questionable thing is soybean oil (all of which is GMO today), but you are going to get that everywhere unless you go to an artisanal place.

Do they think if the keep switching MSC's it will make the pizza edible?

I was told by a scheduler from the original MSC that they just can't handle all of the locations, that's why the client uses multiple MSCs.
I did one last evening. One photograph, no cutting. It was easy. I have never had a photo rejected with any of the other MSCs, so I hope that the trend continues with this one. I did not work for food. I had to drive there (none of the three local stores will deliver to me), and the food is not good enough for me to consider the reimbursement as my fee. I can pay less for better pizza. I did note that at 8 PM, I was the 132nd order of the day, and they told me that it was a slow day. A lot of people like their pizza! [The permitted options for 2-topping pizzas changed, which surprised me.]

I did this simple one-photo shop today, for $15 + reimbursement. Now it's worthwhile. I do the web orders and combine w/coupon. Got free soda today.
