I've done a few shops for these people - not anymore. Two times I have been asked to do a gas station shop and then been refused payment because I didn't make a purchase. I explained there is NOTHING TO PURCHASE.
There are higher paying gas station shops but if you do not follow the guidelines and make the required purchase, you will not be paid for those either. Take this experience as a learning tool.
I took missarney's post to mean that she she couldn't follow the guidelines because there was literally nothing to be purchased at that station. The station where I normally purchase my gas has nothing to purchase but gas either - not even oil, wiper fluid or gas cans. If it was one of those stations, I suppose she could have purchased gasoline in her tank but I might not have thought of it at the time. I didn't even think of it until I was actually typing the words "nothing to purchase
but gas." I think it's a little condescending to tell her that she's supposed to follow guidelines in order to be paid. It sounds like she's been shopping for a while (months at least), and this one threw her for a loop. Sometimes weird things happen.
There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.
