Publix now shopping it's competitors...

There was a huge amount of Publix "competitor shops" on the BIG mystery shopping company job board...

It appears Publix is "shopping" it's competitors.... (think all other grocery stores) I had to take one, to see what was inside.... They want you to do the same things in you did in "their" stores. (same $6 bucks and $10 grocery reimbursement).

Now, they want you to complain that you bought something and they never put it in your bag and you have no receipt...I guess they want to see what the "other" guy does smiling smiley

We can't say the name of the MSC since the client has been named, sorry forum rules. However, I can tell you they may very well be in Atlanta as they are down here in south GA. I will give a hint as they are also known for Fast Food.

Can we ask what company, and are there any in atlanta, ga

No. We can't tell you. But I can tell you Publix is Florida, and definitely in Georgia. My friend decorates cakes there smiling smiley
In the south Florida area, the competitors are Winn Dixie, Whole Foods and Sedano's. You have to speak Spanish to do the Sedanos one. There seems to be a Sedanos on every corner here and some of them are huge full service supermarkets just like Publix, while others are the size of a 7-11 with no bakery, seafood department or deli meat. The tiny ones are tough to spend 20 minutes in, but the reimbursement is the same.
I have shops at Target, WalMart and Whole Foods, all on Publix's dime. I can't do the Sedano's as I'm not fluent in Spanish. But then, how could they know? Would they actual contact a competitor and say, "Hey, we sent some mystery shoppers into your store and we think one lied to us about speaking Spanish. Can you confirm this receipt, then check your security cameras, find the associates they talked to and ask if they remember that person and what language they spoke?"
Well, a lot of the Sedano's employees do not speak English so it would be difficult to do the shop properly if you can't talk to the staff. For me, I can ask any of the required questions in Spanish and understand the answers. Once the MSC called me and the lady asked me (in English) "do you speak Spanish?" I replied, Si, necessita que yo voy a Sedanos para una venta? (Yes, you need me to go to Sedanos for a sale?) the MSC woman says, oh, I don't speak Spanish, I just need a shopper who does. That one sentence had her completely convinced I was fluent if not bilingual.
they want you to LIE and say something wasn't in your bag?

and not worry about being criminally charged? even if they don't give you some type of store credit/refund....it can still be attempted theft...
Yes, [name deleted] Mystery Shopping is doing the Publix shops and the competitor shops.

Mod note: Please stop linking MSC with their clients. It is against forum rules and an ICA violation.
