CPI --------------AFTER ........................ no longer before

Has anyone else notice ---->"Please sign the CPI AFTER submitting your shop report"? I had always sign the CPI before the report, so when I returned to do the report, I would not forget to submit it. Depending on the length of future reports and images, to me, it could be slighty overlook.sad smiley

There are times when troubles occur entering a shop at least when the CPI was already entered, it was one way of informing the Helpdesk/scheduler, that the shop had been done. Now if you have trouble entering the shopi,by our fault or theirs, we might forget to sign or submit the CPI because we are finally greatful to get the shop submitted.

Interesting. It has never occurred to me to sign the CPI, which is an invoice, before I conducted the shop. I'm not sure why this is such a surprise.

Not CONDUCTED the shopsmiling smiley ................> REPORTING/written submittion of the shop. MFI was one of the few(?) MSCs that I asssigned, which were able to submitt the CPI/invoice before writing (cybering) the report. It was a way for me to let them know I had done the shop, but I was going to take a "chill pill" before submitting it, especially if there were images involved.
Ah, I get it, however, since the shop isn't technically completed until the report is submitted, I understand MF's stance.

I guess I am the only one whom sign and submitted the CPI and receipts before the reportsad smileysmiling smileysmiling smiley for the last 10 years with being with MFI. I did because I read that the CPI could not be obtained after the report was submitted.

Well anyway, even if they want it after the submission of the report, I see, (just submitted a report) that the CPI and receipts can be submitted still through the INCOMPLETE phrase also. So I guess my BIG deal is just a mininsicule one on the grand scheme of things. I was more concern when it was a problem submitting the reports or there "window"/site was down for no apparent reason.

I did not want to submitt a report after staging there's a problem and forget to sign the CPI and I have to contact the HD------>"........blah blah blah.......you know you are going pass your 12 hours of reporting time and we'll have to place a notation in your file....."grinning smiley
I have never submitted the CPI until after the report.

For me: Report submission, Receipt submission, CPI submission, always in that order. smiling smiley

To me, it seems, how can I submit my contractor payment invoice (CPI) unless I submit my work report first?

Another tip: I remember when I first started reading this forum in 2011, I heard many shoppers say, " Always Print your CPI" I always remembered that and it was good advice!
until a couple years ago you had to print and I think fax the CPI...so it was available to print only before you submitted the report...but you could still send it after...in the past you always had to print the CPI....its still a good idea, but you don't necessarily have to anymore
I started working with them in 2008. Rather than printing the CPI, I used to copy and save it to my computer file in Word. After completing the shop, I pasted a digital signature and date into the form and submitted it electronically. I never printed and never faxed.
I agree with stilllearning and SunnyDays. Technically the job is not complete until you have submitted the report and uploaded the require image(s) and then you can turn in the CPI as an invoice.
Honestly I didn't even know you could sign it before.

There are reasons that a body stays in motion
At the moment only demons come to mind
I did not even know you are allowed to sign the CPI and download the receipt before completing the report. Once I tried doing that before the report and I was not allowed.
Oh, how I miss the days of having to print and sign a CPI. Not!

Shop N Chek, which became MF, was the only company that had this odious and obnoxious requirement back in the day. I'm not sure what it was like doing reports for SASSIE-based companies back in the days before IC Pro, but I have always been the kind of person that thinks it only makes sense for the shop reporting process to generate an electronic invoice automatically, and that any system requiring the shopper to generate one by hand or as a separate process is antiquated (I think Maritz may be the last holdout now, but I have never actually completed a shop for them).
ICCDS now North Fork Research used to have something similar that you had to sign and attach receipt to and mail in it or scan in. It was when they had their own reporting system before they used sassie.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I have always signed after... I do my report, sign the cpi then I print the cpi for myself and highlight the payment and put it with my records. Its like my "check done" pile I guess. If I signed it before the shop I would get confused lol

i dont know what cpi stands for but isnt it the same thing as invoice. dont independent contraxtors invoice their clients to get paid. i dont see what people are making a big deal about it.

It is not a big deal. As a matter of fact it is a ........"matter of awareness"............ MFI, now, would like for its SHOPPERS to fill/sign the CPI..........AFTER......it has submitted its report.

I was unaware of when to sign it, so I ALWAYS sign MY CPI and submitted the receipts before the report. I don't think MFI had a problem with it or they would not of let it occur. Even the tax shop I preformed in April, let me sign before. Now, the shop I preformed on April 24th, ten days later, it stated to sign the CPI afterwards.

I am glad smiling smiley to see/read others SHOPPERS ideas and facts. Sometimes we don't know what other shoppers are doing in a similar situation unless we asked or question it. Thanks for the valuable info, I know what YOU do, you know what I DID, now we know what the MSC wants,.............we can go forward. Hurraysmiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smiley
