MaritzCX

I've been with Maritz for the last 21 years now, they've been good to me and at year's end they've kicked in bonuses of over $300 for a shop out of the way. I agree with Mr C, just hit print preview and there's your code. Write it down and off you go.

I usually print just the first page (the one with the code) and take it with me so I have the actual address I am assigned to because some of those branches are hidden in grocery stores.

You could also display the top of the first page on your computer screen (with the code showing in print preview mode) and take a picture of it with your cell phone including the address, shop number (which you need to write on documents), and the magic code if you really really don't want paper.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
That leaves more for the rest of us

@dlemaro let's see.... I can do those shops in 5 minutes and report them in 10. That works out to almost $40 an hour plus a little time getting in and out of the car.

If that's the same shop I am thinking about....you are required to stay at least 10 minutes.

none
I just realized tonight that even though I submitted invoices I've not been paid for several shops that I'd done earlier in the year. I'll be calling Maritz tomorrow to figure out the issue but just curious if anyone else has had that problem.

Yes, but very rarely, and others have reported the same. Both times for me the problem was rectified with one or two phone calls. Most everyone else has found quick resolutions available as well.
I don't like that they have "outsourced" with another scheduling company for their big box hardware shops in my area.....you can see them on the Maritz site but nobody at Maritz can sched them....I have been doing them for them since they took them over...I don't like the company that is scheduling them now.....and never have. guess i'm done doing them.......and my last shop took way over the usual time to be paid....not sure what that was about....but i did get it finally.

Happy to report I called the company today, spoke to a VERY pleasant person, and the problem was quickly solved. As a bonus, they're closing out a pay period today so I should have my money quickly. I wish every company offered such good service!

I think they are great, cashing a $500.00 check from them today, then off to the beach. The bonus are great if you want to drive a little. I've made a route and done 4 shops and made over $200.00 in 1 day spent $20 in gas. They are the only ones I keep up on my computer at all times. Staff is great, they know the incentive I will ask for before they even call, but they know it will be done.

Ha..."Says the scheduler for MaritzCS" This proves that schedulers, etc. read this blog!!!
I am very happy doing work for them. I always check that the incentive/bonus is applied, BEFORE doing the shop. It shows up on their website, as soon as the shop is assigned.
Why take the conversation so personable. We are not bashing them. We are friends talking and giving information!

ARE YOU taking into consideration wear and tear on your car, gas, etc. NOT 40 bucks an hour!

Um, Iworkcheap, while I'm not a spelling/grammar/context Nazi (at least not too much) I'm kinda/sorta thinking that you mean to use the word "personal" and NOT " personable?

Jus' askin????

And, iworkcheap, while I'm at it maybe your screen name is why a lot of the MSC's (such as MF, etc) have drastically LOWERED their fees to us (the boots on the ground, etc) to ridiculous sums such as $6.00 ($6.00 to eat a crappy lunch?????). They have found folks who will "work cheap". Devaluating your time/effort, etc. is counter-productive.

"The bonus are.." Do you mean bonuses? and ".....done 4 shops" Do you mean I DID? My reports would never get through with writing like that. Surprised about your HUGE CHECK!
No ParkCity.... check your dictionary before you correct anyone:

Love Maritz.
Goofy invoicing thing is annoying and the print for code thing drives me crazy when I'm in a hurry. Instead of printing for the code, I use cutePDF which installs as a printer and "prints" a PDF file to your computer.

On the plus side they always seem to want to help and they pay like clockwork.

Gas station shops were big losers until I got used to them. Now they just fit into other shops and work I do.
I am amazed at the lengths people go to get that code. Hit Ctrl+P and cut and paste the code. Done. Don't even need to write anything down.
Generally, the people at Maritz are easy to contact and helpful. Their base pay rates are almost humorously low. I imagine that they rarely get evaluations done without offering some type of bonus. They contact me occasionally, and I always ask for a very high bonus. I would estimate that the high bonus is only accepted about 25% of the time, but when they are accepted, I make a significant amount of money. My suggestion would be to take a look at a shop or route of shops and decide how much money you need to make. Call them and offer that amount; the worst thing they can do is say no.
My two cents is not worth too much here, because I am not an IC (NV). I like the Maritz shops...I grab all of the blue banks I can. I rarely see bonuses, because my shops come from a thrid party company with a PI license approved to shop in NV. But, my base for the combo shop is $20 and the phone only is $8. I do notice that one of the two companies I am an "employee" for offers some bonuses, the other rarely. But, I have a scheduler to run interference for me if needed. My schedulers know me and my work, and know I will try to help out when they are in a bind. I do not have the stamina of most of you, and that is ok.

I also like Kinesis-CEM, and do a lot of their phone shops, also $8. I do shops for a lot of the companies mentioned here, but thru my "employing schedulers." It is funny, I like EMPS, but after doing 2 apartment shops, stir clear of them. Talk about 3 hr repetive shops (including asking the color of the person's eyes and asking if they have tats)...no thank you. But, I get emails from them on Mother's Day, the holidays, etc. Lovely company that appreciates shoppers, but not necessarily good shops.

Thanks for letting me join in.
Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble with Maritz blue banks for June .they have cut back the amount of banks I can go to. Has anyone else been cut back.
Yes, me too. I called and they said the client cut back on the number of shops available.
The main thing I dislike about Maritz is that you have to submit a separate invoice to get paid.
The only guy I spoke to at Maritz did not sound sexy at all, so I have not had the chance. I do know when I long on, I get to look at the picture of the guy who I think is good looking. Old fashioned grandma me like likes the boy next door type. Sigh,
I get a bit irritated when I get an email on my home page but I can't click on it and reply.
I hit reply before I was done. I have been doing jobs for them for about 2 years and they are a nice group of people. I have had a couple of times where I had to go back and get a photo that I missed or resend an invoice but when I talk to them on the phone they are always polite and take care of my needs. They have "scratched my back" a couple of times so I try to help them out when they call and need a shop done that is out of my driving range.
Maritz is still one of my favorite shops! I have learned to just print the first page of the questionnaire so that I not only have the security code, but all the info of the shop (usually the blue bank or yellow gas station)...where I make notes. I like having the ability to speak to a team member if needed and submitting the invoice is very simple.
I do the same thing. I've been wondering what all this taking pictures, writing down the number stuff was all about.
