Customer Impact

Customer Impact sent an email today announcing that the August jobs had been posted. I went to the site, but the only two jobs for my area were the two fine dining shops that have been there since last week. I've applied for one, but it hasn't been assigned yet. I'm guessing they don't want to give it to me because I haven't done anything for them yet, and it's a pretty big reimbursement for a newbie! Anyway, has anyone else in the GTA seen a lot of jobs posted there today? Maybe I don't get to see more jobs until I've proved myself. I totally understand that. Just wondering. They seem like a really good company.

I completed my first fine dining shop over the weekend. The report was in depth but not too complex. I talked to the editor at CI and she was very pleasant and kind. I like this MSC!
pampet, years ago, I wanted to establish myself with CI. My ticket in was to do one of their lesser shops, a mattress store. I aimed to please and introduce myself. It worked. Next time their fine dining shops became available, I applied, with a well-penned note in the comment box.

Worked for me.

That is a very good strategy, @Mert. I have done that with some other companies. Right now, the only job offered in my area at CI is the fine dining one. I will keep trying and if the time is right, I will get to work for them at some point. Thanks for the advice. I did not see a place to put any notes, but next time I will look. My husband said I should let them know my rating with other companies.

There are only a few shops available in my area too... Sometimes I widen out my search radius to see if there's anything even a bit farther out than I usually drive. I live in hope. smiling smiley

I went to the Classic Job Board and searched the whole province of Ontario--only one job now. You guessed it--the one I applied for. I'm pretty busy this month, so it's not the end of the world. I just think it would be a fun job to do. I, too, live in hope. smiling smiley
pampet, the comment box follows applying for shop. Perhaps there are no mattress shops in your neck of the wood. Regardless, after applying for a shop, there is an Answer Required box.

Shine on and good luck!

Out of curiosity, I searched for jobs near my daughter's town in Texas. There were several of the mattress shops posted. Maybe when I go visit her, I can do one of those!

I don't know why they sent that today? Those jobs were posted days ago. About 75% more were there a few days ago. Weird.
I have done several hotel and theme park shops for them and have a '10' rating. However, I can not seem to land any of their fine dining shops. I am picked immediately with the theme parks for the one scheduler but the fine dining shops are with another scheduler. I apply for at least two every month and am declined. Not sure what to think about it.
I love working for this company.

Have you thought about emailing the scheduler that handles the fine dining shops to see if there is anything you can do to stand out?
I actually was considering that.

I don't know if it is the same scheduler for the whole country, but if it is she is very nice.
I did not get the fine dining assignment, but I did not really expect to. That was a pretty big job for someone who hasn't done any others with the company yet. What bothered me is that they left it posted until almost halfway through the deadline for completion. I guess they were waiting until the right person applied. I will keep trying though. It sounds like a great company.
