I just received payment for a shop I completed for them in March. Because of this forum I knew that I would probably have to chase them for payment. I took the job because a friend of mine was begging. I fully expected to have to wait on payment, and/or chase payment. Thanks to you guys, I had the heads up.
The shop I did was for a location that I was already going to anyway. So had I not been paid, all I would have really been out is the small shop fee that shop carried. The report was not to difficult and the money I paid out, I would have paid out anyway. So no real lose, other than a few minutes filling out the report! I was trying to get a "Free Lunch," so to speak.
This is really the first time I have ever had to chase payment. I have one quick question about Consumer Connection. Do they often blame none payment or late payment, on "re-management?" I ask because once I finally recieved a response (after about 10 emails) about my late payment, and was paid. I received an email for someone identifying themselves as the new Director of Operations. The email explained that Consumer Connection was undergoing a change in management The email laid out new contact information for Consumer Connections, including, a new company and shopmetrics website address. This person was also the same person that finally responded to my emails requesting payment for March Shops. I hope others have been paid, as I have.
Email
