Mystery Researchers Delayed Payment message.

I don't know if this has happen to anyone else. I received partial payment for some of my jobs. I contacted the scheduler for two jobs that I was not paid and this was the message I received from her. So far no payment.

Shopper payments have been delayed because of an administrative issue. We are aware of the situation and are working to remedy it as fast as possible, we appreciate your patience as payments are forthcoming.

If you have any questions, you may contact Diane Anderson at Diane.Anderson@mysteryresearchers.com

***** Update I just received a message saying "All payments were released this a.m. Please check your PayPal account. I apologize for the delay." check your accounts friends.

I got my check (paypal) one hour ago with an apology. She apologized for the delay for partial payment for May shops smiling smiley
As of Monday of this week, I had pay issues (partial payments, no payment at all) with 4 different MSCs simultaneously. Not with the OP's MSC, so I apologize for the threadjack. Two of the issues have since been resolved, but all 4 are large, reputable companies and it has been a long, arduous process to get these resolved. Don't know what's going on out there but make sure you are tracking your payments carefully!!!
For those of you who may have lost track, Mystery Researchers bought Beyond Hello and all shops now come from Beyond Hello, but PayPal payments still say Mystery Researchers. I got paid fully and uneventfully on June 15th for all May shops, and did not get any explanatory emails.

I understand that MSCs merge and platforms change but why can't they get their payments to at least match up with the MSC that we are shopping for? We are using the Beyond Hello site for scheduling and reporting so why can't they have the PayPal payments say Beyond Hello instead of Mystery Researchers? I can certainly see why it would be confusing to a new shopper.
I suspect that the legal entity which owns Beyond Hello is Mystery Researchers, and that is where the payments have to come from. There are other MSCs which have similar corporate owner issues and I keep track of the name of the paying entity versus the name of the contracting entity.

Yes I had a payment issue with them also. Instead of not paying me, they overpaid me. I had to issue a refund back to them. Hopefully these issues will stop soon.

Professionally it would have been appropriate if they sent out a global message stating there was a administrative problem
due too.....

I've gotten an email and a voice mail from Diane Anderson asking me to send back overpayment. IT appears that they did overpay me $75.00. However I cannot determine which payments were the overpays. I have called her number twice to resolve this issue but have yet to receive a call back.

Anyone else have this happen?

Because changing the name on a PayPal business account takes at least 2 acts of congress. (I'm guessing)

I'm confused. Why does it matter which specific payments were the overpays. If you can identify that they overpaid you $75, why not just send back $75? Did they tell you that the overpay amount was more or less than $75?
I was owed $30 and received 4 payments of $15 each, so I was definitely overpaid $30. I didn't figure it mattered which $15 payments were the right ones and which were the wrong ones. I just sent back $30. If you don't want to do a PayPal refund, you could just mail them a check for the overpayment amount. Then it wouldn't matter which was the overpayment and which was not.
What difference does it make? You agree that they overpaid you $75. Refund their money. I my impression is that they paid shoppers twice for the same jobs. Assume that you should have been paid for the shops you completed the earliest, if your issue is keeping track of this on your spreadsheet. Since they use Sassie, you can simply look and see what shops they consider to have been paid. That should match your spreadsheet. You agree that you owe them $75. Pay them.

It is worth making another call to get them to send you a spreadsheet or list of your shop numbers. I was concerned at first it was a scam or internal hack.

Now I have the proof with shop numbers, and see that it came from a person I called from a phone number I had in my list (not off their email), now I will refund. Too many scams. I worked hard for that money and not about to rush to refund it without the facts! More and more disgruntled employees have walked out with sensitive database contact info and that was my first fear. But mine seems legitamate, now.

I can see they did duplicate my payments. Good thing it was not a lump sum because not sure if Paypal refund allows a partial.

It would be a really good idea to hurry and send that money back. The schedulers have their own forum and can report that you are slow/resistant to give the money back when it has been confirmed by the MSC and the forum members who have already sent their overpayment back smiling smiley They may also not give you anymore assignments if they think you aren't going to send the money back promptly. I sent mine back within 10 minutes after I confirmed and emailed and found it was legit. Just saying smiling smiley
I'm a meticulous record keeper. I've called Diane Anderson four times already and no return call. Just need to match up the right records. Or I issue a check. But not to return money on shops I might have done and kept money on shops I didn't do.

Telling folks, "Uh, hey...we're broke!" isn't too inspiring.

I was working a plant shutdown when an email from boss lady mentioned a similar "error" that would delay payment by two days. Since the client paid net 60 days, we knew what was up.

Sounds better blaming a computer or software.

When is BH supposed to pay for June, I wonder...
I had an overpayment from Mystery Researchers of $165. It cost me $5.09 to refund the overpayment from paypal. Also, Paypal paid the refund TWICE! So, an extra $170.09 was paid to MR. More 'spalining to do , Lucy!
