Sybil, you're so right. I didn't know any better at the time! Also, my bonus-asking game is not exactly on fleek. I'm happy to net an extra $15-20 per job at the end of the month because I don't typically drive to the remote areas. You guys are killing me on that other thread with your $100 bonses! I guess I STILL have a lot to learn!

Those big bonuses are unusual and that's why we talk about them. Some months I get them and some months I don't. What adds up is steady work at a steady pace. Once you fill up your schedule, you'll feel more at ease asking for more money.

Well, apparently I need to start doing more of those $9 gas station shops and start building some relationships!
I did several shops for Maritz and really liked them. I did sign up for a few audits but when I realized how much work they really were - after completing one, I cancelled the ones I had in my queue. I have been labeled a 'flake' and I deserve that. I should have just bucked up and done the audits, but alas.

They are a good company and the people are really friendly and helpful.
I have to agree with the OP. Don't work for Maritz. Let those of us who hate our lives and enjoy the punishment take these jobs. This goes double for those of you that live within 100 miles of me.

PS: You forgot to type in all caps.

If you take a photo of your combined receipts after taking the individual photos the process is really quick. Just copy your job number after submitting, select the invoice link and paste the job number. It takes 2 minutes to create the invoice if you make it a standard practice. I would never email my receipts as Accounting does an excellent job of processing invoices that come through the normal process. Would it be easier to not have a separate invoice process, of coursesmiling smiley
They do and the shop is easy...smiling smiley

It looks like they picked up a couple of gas station brands. One is strictly a mystery shop but other than that very similar to the sea shore brand. I am testing that tomorrow. The second is a reveal and also very similar to sea shore. Neither pays as well therefore I have only lukewarm interest in the first and no interest in the second, not with $2.00 worth of gas which is @ 2/3 of a gal. and a $1.00 c-store reimbursement. However, they disappeared fast in my area so somebody wants them.
they do have poor communication but if you learn how to play the game, it's do-able....
I come on here to complain when a msc tries to not pay a shopper. I will file a bbb complaint against them because of this. I don't spend my time on here to respond to every post like you do.
I find them rather outdated. I finally purchased a camera and even that was not correct as the pixel needed to be very small? I could never get my camera to the correct pixel.
Gee, nobody has mentioned logitech's poor writing skills. I bet the editors at Maritz are glad to be rid of him.
Just wanted to say that there are 2 sides to the coin. I have been working for them for about 2 years now and yes they pay on time, pay is decent and their reports are easier than a lot of others out there. On the other hand, there are some things that are not so great.

For example, having to submit an invoice with a copy of the receipts to get paid is really annoying. I already sent the receipts to you when I submitted the report, why do I have to do it a 2nd time? Also, I once accepted a route of more than 50 gas stations and was not able to do one of them. I explained I tried but there was a storm and I had to go back home and since it was a 2 hr drive I did not want to go back there for that one shop. They refused to give me an extension and took me off that particular program permanently. It's been a year and do all kind of other shops for them but still have not been able to get re-instated to that one program.
They are a good company to work for. I did not know about the invoicing when I first started working for them. I also didn't keep good track of if they were paying me or not. At some point on this Forum, someone mentioned their invoices. That clued me in. I looked back and found that I had over $300 due for the first three months I worked for them. I though oh sh----! I won't get paid for those jobs, but thought I would try anyway. I called and talked with payroll. She looked back and saw that i indeed hadn't submitted any invoices and felt it was their fault for not mentioning the invoices (I had been contacted out of the blue by Maritz as another company had recommended me to them and I hopped right in and started doing jobs). Anyway, she worked with me to get all of the invoices for those jobs and I was paid at the next pay cycle. No problem. Once in a great while I forget to submit an invoice and they send me an e-mail regarding it. I submit it and am paid.

Since they have become Maritzcdx, they have been working to improve their system. My latest understanding is that there system will be changing sometime this month.

I have done hundreds of jobs for them in the last two years. When they have a question they contact me and I make corrections or do clarifications that are then submitted. I think once I was contacted on one job with questions 3 times. They apologized for not making directions clear for the submitting both receipts on the same picture and the third time it was because they thought I had done the wrong station because the ID sign was not the one for the station. I explained that they had two ID signs and two entrances and that I had sent pictures of both. She told me that one was probably deleted by their staff and it was the one they were used to seeing. She asked me to send another picture, which I would not have been able to due until late that night. I remembered that I had only done one other shop that day and that the sign for it was a monument sign. she verified this and accepted my explanation and the photo they had. She wrote it up and it went through.

I think that there was maybe two shops, I did not get paid for and they were through my errors. They tried to contact me twice (within a 3 hour span to re-shop it) on one of them, but as it was the due date and I had not returned their call, they found someone else to shop it which is good as that day was completely booked anyway. I don't know anyone who hasn't taken a loss at one time or another because of shopper error. Chalk it up to learning curve and move on.
Logitech. It looks like you posted in an attempt to suck up some sympathy for your inability to properly complete shops. How is that working out for you?

It's working out about as well for Maritz as it did for Bestmark, Measure and all the others who invalidate reports to get out of paying shoppers. Geez. How do these companies stay in business? Hahahahaha

I've only had one experience with Maritz and it wasn't a great one. This was maybe a year ago... I applied for two of the blue bank jobs and they sat on the "Pending" board for about two weeks, until well after the due date. I thought, "Well, I'm not going to get those, so I can go ahead and schedule other stuff." Then when the jobs were already a week overdue, they called me on my cell one morning while I was walking out the door for work, and wanted me to do the assignments that same day. I felt sort of obligated to at that point, and I said I would try to take one if I could. I wasn't very optimistic, but it was assigned to me.

This scenario is a perfect example of when to ask for a LARGE bonus. They had been sitting on the board for awhile AND they were past the original due. That is $$$ time!

How do you know when something is past due at Maritz? There's no indication on their website and you really have no way of knowing if something is shopper monthly, quarterly, or as needed unless you call and ask.

I mean that they were on the "Requested Shops Status" board for about two weeks and the "window of available days" or whatever it is had already elapsed. Like if it said the project started on 06/15 and ran for 7 days, but as of today it still hadn't been assigned to you yet. I know once you've done a certain number of shops with them you can just self-assign (I never got to that point), so it's probably been years and years since you've seen that setup.

Oh thanks. I did google, gave me the site for Corporations to sign up to use their services or I wouldn't have asked.

ha... but watch out, roflwofl, i've learned from past experience that snarky comments elicit replies to those snark-isms with vengeance. Some people are truly humor-less (pity).
Um, you started it and um I'm telling mom (rolls eyes and points international language finger)
Edited to add: Don't reply to my posts since you're so busy scolding peeps!

I didn't take roflwofl's post to be snarky but I did take your response to be spicy, rude and snarky. roflwofl gave you the right answer. If you follow directions and go to the link at the bottom of the page, you will find the info you asked for. The right response when someone gives you the answer you asked for is THANK YOU not something ugly like "Don't reply to my posts since you're so busy scolding peeps!"

Don't bother to post asking questions if you don't want answers.
