They are a good company to work for. I did not know about the invoicing when I first started working for them. I also didn't keep good track of if they were paying me or not. At some point on this Forum, someone mentioned their invoices. That clued me in. I looked back and found that I had over $300 due for the first three months I worked for them. I though oh sh----! I won't get paid for those jobs, but thought I would try anyway. I called and talked with payroll. She looked back and saw that i indeed hadn't submitted any invoices and felt it was their fault for not mentioning the invoices (I had been contacted out of the blue by Maritz as another company had recommended me to them and I hopped right in and started doing jobs). Anyway, she worked with me to get all of the invoices for those jobs and I was paid at the next pay cycle. No problem. Once in a great while I forget to submit an invoice and they send me an e-mail regarding it. I submit it and am paid.
Since they have become Maritzcdx, they have been working to improve their system. My latest understanding is that there system will be changing sometime this month.
I have done hundreds of jobs for them in the last two years. When they have a question they contact me and I make corrections or do clarifications that are then submitted. I think once I was contacted on one job with questions 3 times. They apologized for not making directions clear for the submitting both receipts on the same picture and the third time it was because they thought I had done the wrong station because the ID sign was not the one for the station. I explained that they had two ID signs and two entrances and that I had sent pictures of both. She told me that one was probably deleted by their staff and it was the one they were used to seeing. She asked me to send another picture, which I would not have been able to due until late that night. I remembered that I had only done one other shop that day and that the sign for it was a monument sign. she verified this and accepted my explanation and the photo they had. She wrote it up and it went through.
I think that there was maybe two shops, I did not get paid for and they were through my errors. They tried to contact me twice (within a 3 hour span to re-shop it) on one of them, but as it was the due date and I had not returned their call, they found someone else to shop it which is good as that day was completely booked anyway. I don't know anyone who hasn't taken a loss at one time or another because of shopper error. Chalk it up to learning curve and move on.
