Inform@ Re@@@@@, I did not get paid.

Editor said I did not follow guidelines, do not recall the added guidelines she claimed that was there. Another editor offered me another shop. I declined due to not being paid for the first one. So with that said, please do not bash. It was my personal experience. So if you had a good experience good for you. Though mine was a bit skeptical and hard to explain. "No bashing please." I am simply stating my experience.

I'm the first one to take on and/or bash a MSC who I feel dis-respects or doesn't treat the "boots on the ground" folks properly, etc. but I must say that while I haven't had loads of experience with Informa Research (about 10-ish per year) I haven't had any issue with them. All of my reports have been accepted (a couple of them needed additional info...which I supplied on a timely basis) and I've been paid in accordance within their payment date range and without any issues whatsoever.
In my experience, Informa is a quality MSC. I have never had them try to invalidate a shop claiming that I performed the wrong scenario.
I agree with the two above responses. I don't think we are getting the full, correct story from the OP.
How do they pay? Check, DD or PayPal? It's been 56 days and I read payment is uo to 60 days. I might have to contact someone soon. Anyone have contact info? Greatly appreciated!

OP - Y do u keep changing your thread? if u are going to rant at least stand by it instead of backpaddling.
I have shopped for them you years and years and always look forward to their more complex shops as good challenges with excellent fees. No problems with payment except a slight error years ago and that was put right very quickly, with their apologies.

Where is the bashing? The replies are just saying that they have not have bad experience w/this company. There was no bashing unless u bashed yourself in the 4 times u edited your post.

@MSNinja, there we no slander or bashing, even in the original content. However with the replies, I received, the assumption was bashing, and defensive. So, I edited and simplified further. Though with a forum, it could go many ways. It is best, that I disclose less. Lesson Learned smiling smiley

You need to type stuff into the window after you click on the "quote" button and before you click the "reply" button. You're just quoting other people's comments and not adding anything new.... you need to type in the window before or after the quoted text that loads into the window after you click the "quote" button.

I think we really would like to hear additional details about your experience: no one's bashing you that I can see. Hope this helps!

Edited to add: Hey, your text showed up at the bottom of the post! I'm not sure if you edited it or if I just needed to refresh the screen of something, but it's there now.

I came late to the party and I'm not sure what information your post contained before you edited it, but I don't see any bashing going on. You say: "Editor said I did not follow guidelines, do not recall the added guidelines she claimed that was there." Did you go back and read the guidelines to verify what the guidelines said? Are the added guidelines there or not? You don't recall but you don't believe what she claims? Did you not save a copy of the guidelines so you now do not know whether they are there or not? Rookie mistake (Ask me how I know this, I was a rookie once, too.)

You sound like you have been shopping only three months. My best advice is to keep copies of the guidelines on the shops you perform. If there is a question about whether it was done correctly or not, you should be able to go back and read the guidelines, not just say you can't recall the additional guidelines. That makes me believe the guidelines were there and you missed them and now don't recall them.

Beyond that, I have had both good and bad experiences with Informa, more good than bad. I would never imagine that this company would disallow a shop simply to not pay a shopper. It's amazing how many new shoppers find it so hard to believe that they would make a mistake that it must mean that the company just didn't want to pay them.

My good experiences have included that the company is easy to work with. The schedulers, editors, and accounts payable gang are nice folks. I have been paid for all shops. The bad is that, although I have been paid for all shops, I have sometimes had difficulty getting paid the bonus money - mistakes from schedulers and other reasons have sometimes meant it took me several e-mails to be correctly paid for a shop. That said, I have always eventually received the correct payment. So, all in all, this is a top-notch company and I'm pleased to work with them.
@ Jay C. I am not a rookie in the MS field. There were bashing, reading between the lines. As for guidelines, I make sure to read them before the shop thoroughly, to assure payment. This is the second shop where I was not paid. One with Ritter now, Alta, and this shop in reference. I have been shopping for 8 months now, and perform 15 to 20 shops weekly. I just never thought it was necessary to keep record of the guidelines, as I never came across this problem. I was sure I followed the guidelines. *****When they offered me another shop, after the non-payment. I had to decline and protect myself. This was my first shop with Inform... and this was the last.********* $30 of effort and detailed narratives wasted.

You can't make everyone happy, you're not pizza!!!
It depends on the shop. I somewhat thought they were about 1-2 years in the business but perhaps that has to do with the scheduler. I feel as far as payment goes, primarily with financial institutions...the more complex ones they pay extremely well for the time. I had an instance where a $10 check took 90 days to get but it was something of a "bonus" anyway. Plus, I prefer shops where you are paid as opposed to "reimbursed." The Reimbursed Mystery Shop Companies seem to be playing a bit loose with IRS codes....

I read all the replies to OP which has been edited 4 times & I don;t see any bashing. The OPs original post was one of those "don't work for this msc" type of posts.
