"The $3 Coffee Shop"

I had not done these for about 3 years. It is at the Truck-Stop. You check the coffee station. You buy a cup of coffee. You get a receipt. They reimimburse you $2 for the coffee. Apparently, you don't need to check the coffee filters anymore (someone said).

So, I check the shop fee and it pays $3. I was shocked. I don't remember the price 2-3 years ago but was it always this low? I was more a newbie back then....but I could not back out of my driveway to get to the Truck-Stop to do this for that price. I was wondering if anyone has done this $3 coffee shop? What are you required to do now?.

I've picked that shop up twice when bonused, once was $15 and once I think was $9 plus the coffee. It's an okay shop and an okay report. I had no problems with it. Many shops start out with a low base and if not picked up will be bonused later on. If I'm going by and I want a cup of coffee it can be a really good deal. It's not designed to get the shopper to make a special effort to go there and do it. It's designed to be done on the way as part of a day's route and for that purpose it works great. It's even the right time of the day for the No. 1 shop to get me up and going.

The least you're going to get out of the shop is $3.00 and a $2.00 cup of coffee. Quick in and out, quick report. On the two I did, I felt like I held up the stagecoach and got the gold. Would I do the report for $3.00 plus a cup of coffee? No. But -- if I didn't have $2.00 for coffee, yes. It all depends on the circumstances.

Thanks! It's just like the cinnamon roll shop. If I am going out that way I get my cinnamon roll. smiling smiley
I agree that the report is not bad for this shop, but yes, they have definitely been gradually lowering the base pay. Even a few months ago, it still started off at $5. I generally only take them when bonused, but that's just me!

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
