Using MSC rather than actual company names

When I first arrived in this forum I let everyone know what the mystery company was but everyone came back and said I could not and in some cases the people made me the top read of the week. So what is a poor shopper to do if you cannot tell them the company you are shopping

I think its because so many shoppers are scared to death of any compitition. They blow smoke about how it's "to protect the integrity" or because the MSC "forbids it" B.S.!... I let the quality of my work seperate me form the pack.
With spelling like this, there is no reason for any forum members to be "scared to death."

At no time did I ever sign an "ICA" saying i would never reviel my shops or "MSC's" were. Flash, you're just a little full of grandiosity and self rightiousness. Get over it!
You get over yourself! Flash is an experienced shopper and a valuable asset to this forum. Every MSC that I am registered with (which is well over 150) have required a "signature" of some sort, It is usually done electronically and can be your initials or the last two digits of the your birth year. I think YOU need to start using a spell check program AND read your ICAs.
Mark, I believe you are correct that many of us do not want more competition, but we're not "scared to death" of competition. Most of us who have been shopping a while have more offers than we can take, and I'm sure you also have an abundance of work.

While I'm willing to share about how to do things, and I'm willing to recommend the national companies, I'm not willing to share my MSC list and/or my client list. I developed that and it's mine.

Some of the MSCs will be more strict about what can be said about the shopper/MSC relationship than others. I believe they are mainly trying to protect their client list and their guidelines. I am also trying to protect my MSC/client list. If you don't want to protect yours, then that is simply a different approach from my approach.

There is no reason to hesitate in sharing your complete MSC list here, as long as you don't link their clients and as long as you don't reveal the details of their guidelines. Feel free, go right ahead, and thank you.

Every MSC I work with begs for referals of family members or friends that may be intrested in working with them. And I've refered several. I'm not worried about them "stealing" my work. If my work doesn't speak for itself and set me apart from the "compitition" then I need to up my game. As it is, I am the one they call when they need a last minute assignment completed. What that says to me is that I am the one they know they can count on to get the job done. Anyone can sign up with my companies because they are all large, well thought of companies. Like I said... the list is right here on the forum. Have at it.
I really believe that the sense of self-entitlement is so strong among some of these shoppers, that if you were to PM them a complete list of every MSC in the business and all of their clients in that shopper's area, they would respond by whining about how you didn't include a sample shop template of every single assignment where they could just fill in the blanks with the date and time before submitting it to the MSC. "You mean I have to fill this all out myself? It's like four pages! Thanks for nothing!"
