Satisfaction Services, stay away from!

I have done 3 mystery shops for Satisfaction Services. The first two were okay. I did the shops, filled out the forms, and sent it all in. I received a check for my purchase and $5 for doing the shop a month later. The last one I did was in late September 2015. I did things exactly the same as I had done before. On this last shop I received emails saying I had not provided the paper work. I have proof that I did 3 times. They finally said it was received but incomplete. It was not incomplete, just an idiot that read my report. I sent it back in two more times before it was accepted. It is now December 10, 2015 and I have still not been paid! I have called the main phone number several times and am always rudely told, in a very angry tone, that the checks have gone out last week and that I will receive it this week. Once again, no check. I have called the Houston office manyb times as well. The loser there never returns phone calls.

I am on the verge of taking this to a much higher level and cause serious problems for this deceitful and dishonest company.

If you are considering working for them, DON'T!!! I have read others reviews of this company and they have the same problem I did.

I have been working with Satisfaction Services for at least three years. Almost all of my dealings have been with an office in Florida. I did complete an assignment that was out of the Houston office on October 24th. I received a check dated 11/25/15. I may have received it sometime during the first week in December. This payment seemed to be a little faster than the payments that come from the Florida office. I am sorry I can not comment on the incomplete issue. I always get a call and/or an email when clarification is required. I have received quite a few of those requests over the years. It has always been handled with out major issue. Sorry you are having troubles.

recordguy, Do you know how many first time posters rant about a MSC and bash them? And do you know how tiresome this is? At least to me.

What is this - a $15 dispute? Exactly what higher level do you plan to take it to? The BBB, small claims court, hire an attorney? Give me a break.
recordguy, I'm sorry you had a problem but really, they don't have a reputation as dishonest or deceitful. I'm not sure from reading your post exactly what happened, but it sounds like there were several contacts back and forth before they got what they needed. Now it sounds like there's anger on both sides of the table. Unfortunately, these things don't seem to ever work out well once they start downhill. I know you're not here for advice so I'm not going to give you any. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Thank you. No I am not looking for advice. I just want to warn others about the deceitful company that Satisfaction Services is. I did my part exactly as I was supposed to and they lie to me telling me that the check should be here anytime. They have been telling me that the check is in the mail for three weeks now. Yes, I am angry because no one will talk to me and be honest. The loser manager / ceo in Houston does not answer his phone and does not ever return calls. I have good reason to be angry. I did my part but they don't do their part. I will make a great deal of trouble for them I can promise you. Stay away from these losers!
The first two shops I did there was no problem. I sent my paperwork in and it was accepted the first time on both. I got a check the following month. This time all I get is rude, dishonest people. The idiot in Houston will never answer his phone or return calls. I have tried to be nice and professional. Those days are over. This company will feel my wrath for a long time. I will promise that. I run a very profitable and highly respected business and would never try to cheat and be dishonest with my clients or employees. I only did the shops because I was going to be going to the store anyway. You can bet that a letter will be sent to the company that I shopped. They need to know of the dishonesty and deceit by satisfaction services.
OP, if your reports are as repetitive as your forum posts, I can see why you had issues getting your report accepted.

FYI, if you contact the client, you are breaking your ICA. Then the MSC has legal rights go go after you. So good luck with that!

I am trying to understand this objectively. Unfortunately the name calling, what appears to be many assumptions and factless accusations, makes this hard to do.

I have been performing assignments for this MSC for about three years. Many of their assignments require comprehensive narratives. I have grown in my ability to create and provide such narratives because of this. Looking back at some of my earlier narratives, I'm surprised both at how bad some where as well as how tolerant they were with me.

Satisfaction Services has a very good overall reputation. Based on my experience, I can not imagine someone there getting angry and rude without being provoked. If you spoke to them the same way you described your experience here....

@recordguy , making threats is not going to get you anywhere. Your rant makes you look bad, does nothing to harm the MSC. I recommend that you get over being mad and instead act like a professional.

Recordguy, I have done many shops with them and they have always been extremely nice. Even if their report needs additional comments (always seems like a little further detail can be added to these as the ones I do are almost all narrative), the email comes. I answer the questions in the email and reply back and they are added to the report. Check arrives when it is supposed to and all is great. This one of my favorite shops to do and is great for buying gifts for my teenager or my boyfriend.

About your shop, I understand that you are upset but contacting their customer (the store), and ranting to them are not going to solve your problem. It is going to make things worse. Also, please remember that a lot of times, shops are scheduled by large scheduling companies. These companies also schedule for lots of different MSC's. If you burn your bridges at one MSC, do you think the same scheduler (that knows all of what happened) is going to be happy to use you for shops at their other customers (MSCs)? How you handle this can affect your income at your other MSC's as well.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.

Thank you Ibw1000, for writing a decent letter. I do not need the money $5 for all of the problems. I could care less about doing shops. If you choose to do them that is your decision and I respect that. I could honestly care less about what Satisfaction Services or anyone else thinks about me. I own and run a very successful company that operates in an honest and professional manner unlike satisfaction services.

All right, then, to all the newbies out there, welcome and let's chat. This thread went way south after the original poster became abusive to forum members. Let's note that being abusive to other forum members was not acceptable and also let's gather from the posts by more experienced shoppers that the rant was not considered coherent or warranted. This poster has successfully trashed out their reputation with the forum in general and with the scheduling and contracting levels of our business.

There is no question that the original poster had a problem they considered legitimate. The question is why would anyone want to handle an issue in this manner? And another question is what really went wrong that brought all this about? And another question is how could this have been handled to a measured conclusion? What can we learn here?

Apparently the MSC needed more information. The correct procedure would have been to supply that information, no matter how many communications were required, while maintaining a courteous attitude. Failure to supply requested information will ALWAYS result in non-payment. In the case of a successfully reported shop that is not paid, rude and aggressive followups will probably result in eventual deactivation and all the bad press that goes with it. When we get rants here that schedulers and MSC representatives were rude, we almost always get that information from a really rude and aggressive shopper.

When you do everything right and maintain courtesy and professionalism, things will still go wrong in this business. But you can count on this: Throwing a public fit won't get you anything you want.

Is this guy for real? Looks like a mod had to edit many of his posts. I love working for SS. Great shops & pay me in timely manner. I even got one bonus shop which doesn't happen often w/them.
I received a payment via paper check from them today. Hope you received yours as well.
