Trying to not blow my top with Intellishop!

Today I emailed the scheduler on the purchase and return. I emailed, "I would like to know if you could add a $10 bonus to this shop. The return is a another shop for me." The reply was, "I can not add the bonus in right now, I'm not allowed. I will let you know if we can't fill the shop."
I believe that if you ask politely, you will receive a polite return. She might just offer me the bonus in the end. I have received a bonus from Intelli on all of the shops I do for them. It might not be many, but I'm willing to wait and move on.

Intellishop is playing the "Bottom of the Pond game" inoffering pay to shoppers AND in their pricing with their clients. Clients who choose to use Intellishop will get what they pay for, just as intellishop will get what they pay for....It is a race to the bottom. As Mrs. Reagan once said, "Just say NO!"

Great conversation, shoppers. I agree with you. We should just say no. I am wondering if it makes any sense whatsoever to email the scheduler telling them that the fee is too low. I agree about asking for a bonus. Perhaps that's the easiest and most effective way to say, "No way for low pay!" I also wonder, who sets the fee -- the MSC or the client?

Let's say you hire a party planner. The party planner sets a fee and out of that fee pays the vendors/employees they hire. Do you decide if they pay the bartender $7 or $10 an hour or does the party planner?

My general rule for intellishop is to wait for them to bonus the heck out of shops. For car shops they seem to increase the bonus to $5 near the end of the month. At this rate I might take a shop if I'm traveling on business and want to make an extra ~$25 or so.

Near the end of the year last year they were raising their $20 car shops up to $40, $50 or $60. These are worth it to me. I think this year I'll take a break until the end of the year and see if I can get some shops at decent prices.

Maybe if nobody else is taking shops the will raise prices across the board. That being said, someone in the chicago area is taking all the $10 shoe shops and $17 car shops.
I wouldn't do a purchase and return shop for less than $20, and even then, it'd have to be really close to my location because if I have to go somewhere twice, my brain considers it two shops! When you add that time to the time it takes to do the report (which rarely requires no narrative,) the pay is just too low.
Besides, the only reason I'm willing to make (essentially) minimum wage, or less, AT ALL is because I value the flexibility and freedom mystery shopping work provides. Those benefits are diminished greatly if I have to spend half a day running around and submitting paperwork. Lol
Gene, I had a similar experience: I was I their job board, looking through their paint shops ($9-$12). Most were "PRO" shops, meaning it required a visit to both the paint department AND the contractor desk. I had done one of those previously (for $15 ) and decided it was WAY WAY too much work for requiring that, along with so much narrative.

Of the shops being offered, two of the closest ones were NOT "Pro" (read: contractor) shops and required a visit to only one department. I immediately self assigned them both!

At my shop log, I decided to look at the guidelines for each shop BEFORE confirming my intent to perform them. I was surprised at what was there... According to the guidelines, BOTH shops were the two-department PRO variety! Three emails to the scheduler for clarification received no reply, so I never confirmed. And now my schedule for tomorrow is full with work assigned from other MSCs. Even as an I.C., I like to plan my schedule more than a few hours ahead!
