Ideas for Maritz bank and gasoline shops? A friend's boss had a massive heart attack and now she's unemployed.

I met a young kid working at the Food Bank about a year ago because she feel's its her job to make the World a better place. Today she was working there, I asked her "why you here today?" she said "My boss died Sunday night of a heart attack and now just trying to sort my .life out while God decide's to help". Instead of curling up in a ball, she's working for the Food Bank and a few other charities in between employment.

I think Martiz is good people, do you know what their $$ checking situation is like and Petro? How do you bid their jobs when they send you emails "make us a reasonable offer!". She's a great photographer, work's hard and follows instructions carefully. I don't know how much she should bid for those jobs, any idea what they consist of because I can't read the job assignments unless I press perform them. Thank you for helping out a person trying to make the World a better place.

Hi. Your friend will not be able to get any bonused shops or successfully "make them a reasonable offer" until she gets starting shopping for them and gets on self assigned basis. As far as "make them a reasonable offer" don't worry about that. They are not open to what you or I might consider reasonable and will make a counteroffer of what they are actually willing to pay. At first your friend will not be on self assign and will work with a scheduler by phone. To shop with Maritz, she needs to sign up with them and get started. Best of luck to her. They have lots of work in my area and I believe they will have ample work wherever you are.

Not exactly true. They will always counteroffer even if they are willing to pay what you offer. At least that has been my experience. One of the 85 reasons I do maybe 5 shops a year for them.

I'm giving up the negotiation game altogether. The odds haven't been in my favor lately and I'm really busy with my book. Of course I'll still consider any solid dollar offer from any of my companies, but I'm done with telephone tag. I just don't have time for the back and forth and the interruptions that includes.

If she is young (18-30), teach her how to do the age compliance shops. She may like that anyway as she will be helping to keep other young people from starting up smoking and drinking.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
another great idea, compliance are great for kids wanting extra money. I wish they were more patient with paydays because they panic after one month if they don't see the money or check.
