What should I do?

Hi! I am having an issue with the MSC Intellishop. I did a shop for them several weeks ago which required that I make a $25 transaction, and then cancel it to get a refund. The store did not give me a refund. The shop instructions indicated that I would receive a prompt reimbursement from Intellishop in this case. That has not yet happened. I messaged the scheduler about 3 weeks ago. He responded by saying this is strange, let me look into it. I never heard from him again. Two days ago, I sent him another message. This message conveyed that I am upset and I asked him to provide my reimbursement or an update. He never responded. Now I am not sure how I should handle things I could just wait for my reimbursement to appear, but I'm questioning whether that will happen. I could follow up with someone other than this scheduler - but I don't know how to contact anyone else. What do you think I should do? I appreciate any help or suggestions that you can provide. Thank you!

I suspect you scheduled this with a KSS scheduler and it is probably time to go to Intellishop directly. Get a copy of your instructions that state the 'prompt reimbursement', shop date, date of email and response with the scheduler and any other pertinent data together. The number I have for Intellishop is 877-894-6349 and ask to speak with the project director for the ______ shops (the kind of shop you did). Good luck.
I had the exact situation happen when I did that shop in November. I don't work with that scheduler anymore because of that.

I ended up calling [client name deleted] for my refund. It took a few months and I had to be persistent. Make sure you have the receipts because you will need the codes from them.

I was under the impression that the shop guidelines had been updated to give shoppers instructions on how to get reimbursed.

Mod note: It is against forum rules and an ICA violation to link the MSC (already mentioned) with its client. Please refer to the posting guidelines before posting.

Why are you revealing a client in a thread that identifies the MSC?

An additional question might be why would you contact the client of an MSC, which would also be a violation of the ICA you signed with the MSC?

Revealing clients of MSCs online and contacting clients and bragging about it sounds like the road to deactivation. And, if the word spreads, it could lead to deactivation from multiple MSCs.
I had a very similar situation with this shop. It took over a month to finally get my refund, and I was deactivated by Intellishop presumedly because of a posting I made here where I referenced the client name and MSC. I contacted them repeatedly to find out why and they would not respond.
Thegov,
since that post violated your ICA with them, what more explanation do you need for being deactivated? Lots of MSCs monitor all shopper forums.

Your post made on this forum on August 11th did name both the company and their client, which very publicly violated your ICA. The client name was deleted by the moderator. Why would it surprise you that the company deactivated you?

Honny Brown also named the client in her post above, exactly as you did. It will be interesting to see if the company deactivated her as well. Companies put the confidentiality clause into an ICA for a reason and some deactivate shoppers who break the agreement.
The name was deleted, so it's no longer an issue.

The name was deleted from thegov2k2's post also, but he was still deactivated for naming the client.
How would the MSC even correlate you, their shopper, to an anonymous person on a forum.

I'm sure we weren't the only ones calling their client for a refund.

Jay, Austin was concerned that I would be deactivated from IS for naming their client in my post. I was telling Austin that the client name was deleted, so it's no longer an issue.

See above, I don't think gov was deactivated for that.

Because we are not as anonymous as some presume. Shoppers often talk about a situation unique enough to identify them to a MSC willing to do a little research.

My user name here is the same as the first part of my email. Not very hard to connect the dots there. I don't recall claiming to be surprised I was deactivated. What did surprise me was Intelli-shop's complete lack of response to my repeated emails trying to figure out why I wasn't getting my refund. I sent at least half a dozen emails to which they never responded. Considering the complete lack of professionalism shown when dealing with this one shop, I am better off not working for them.

It would have been nice if they told me that was why, so that at least I could complain to them about how they handled the refund situation. I sent the company 3 emails before I posted here, and I was annoyed and not thinking when I posted. I'm now very careful when I post here.
I was surprised at that as well. I don't do any shops from that scheduler. My other shops from different schedulers have been paid and/or reimbursed with no problem.
