HDE

I did 10 shops for HDE in November, December and January and have not been paid. All shops had out-of-pocket expenses to be reimbursed. I can't afford to not be paid for work that was submitted, accepted and graded. Any tips on getting them to pay me?

Contact your scheduler. I had to contact my scheduler to get paid for my first shop ever for them. They paid me by PayPal the same day that I sent an email about it. Good luck.

I worked for HDE before they lost a client in my area. I would sometimes have to chase payment. Scheduler Daryl Demos was always good about making sure I was paid once I brought it to his attention.
I would not do work for this msp as you have to contact them in order to receive payment. You will get paid but you must contact them.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
What is their payment schedule? Some MSCs pay in 90 days. I don't know of any that take longer. Why have you waited so long? I would definitely get in touch with them.
So far for me the payment schedule has been:
Contact scheduler, get paid within 2 days of contact.

I doubt that's their official payment schedule, but I couldn't find it posted anywhere on their site.

Is HDE a scheduler? You should be getting paid by the MSC that the shop was for. I'm sure there is someone out there on this forum that knows more about this than I do.
HDE is a Mystery Shopping Company. I believe it stands for Hilli Dunlap Enterprises. Like most MSCs, this one has (at least one) scheduler that it employs to schedule shops, and that person is who the shopper is most consistently in contact with. I've completed and been paid for two shops for HDE, both low paying "feeling the waters" kind of shops to test them out. I completed the first shop and submitted the report, no issues.
I did a second shop, and submitted the report. The scheduler sent a quick, thanks for your report, great job and I asked about the payment policy since it had been about 75 days since the first shop, and I wasn't able to find the payment policy anywhere.
He responded quickly saying that the policy was that shoppers are paid after the full report with all shops is submitted to and accepted by the client, usually by about 6 weeks after the shop, but that it sometimes is faster. He promised to check on my payment (since it had been well beyond 6 weeks), and I received a Paypal credit that day or the next day for both shops.
I've done another one now, and have it marked for follow up after about 6 weeks. We'll see if they pay before I have to contact them....

Do a search on Hilli Dunlap.
They are well known for not paying shoppers unless they demand payment.
This has been going on for over 15 years.
SoCalMama is correct and although Caligirl was joking she was correct on their payment schedule contact them and you will be paid within 2 days. If you don't contact them you won't be paid. I don't have the time to chase payments so I refuse to work for them anymore. Now if sometime in the future maybe another 15 years they change and start paying on a schedule with no contact needed I may work for them again. Also keep in mind I have not deactivated myself nor will I just don't currently look for or do work with them.

I completed an assignment for HDE last year, around October. Easy shop. Simple report. Never was paid. I think it's ridiculous to have to contact them for payment. It's the only MSC that has failed to pay up. Beware of this company.
I read this, emailed him, and not more than 20 minutes later I was paid for work done in March.
Thanks for the advice. I contacted the scheduler as suggested and was paid 100% within 2 days. I started shopping in November 2015. I have since experienced this as a viable way to earn an income and have decided to continue. I just finished getting my accounting system up and running. Since November 2015, of the 250+ shops I have completed with 40+ MSCs this is the ONLY company that had not paid. Everyone else is paying within their stated timeline.

Everyone needs to understand that is how they do business.

Example:

10,000 shops performed.
5,000 shops paid.
Maybe 1,000 shoppers realize that they didn't get paid and send an email. 500 get paid after one email. Out of the other 500, only 100 send the second email. All 100 get paid.

That's going to leave 4400 shops with 100% profit for them.

They are a disgusting group of people. Hard to argue that. The owners just look for new shoppers when the old ones realize their scheme. They specifically don't look for shoppers on forums, since they know that we "talk." I was in close contact with a former scheduler. This was exactly what they were told to do: find new people constantly because the old ones would soon realize that they had to chase payment.
No way would I ever shop for this company. I have never heard of anything so terrible and unprofessional from any Mystery Shopping Co. They should not be allowed to function period.

I 100% agree. I do recall dropping a few f-bombs on the guy. I got paid immediately. It's not too far for me to drive up there and tell him in person either. That was over 10 years ago. Nothing has changed. Special place in Hell for him. The majority of shoppers do this because they need the money. They aren't getting rich on this gig.
I shopped for them quite a few years ago when the stuff was hitting the fan in the other popular forum (the "V" one). I was one of HDE's lucky ones at the time, being that I had no payment issues.

I began MSing again recently and completed 2 shops for them in the first week of April. They were having trouble getting one filled in a remote area, so I completed it today with a generous bonus. I had emailed the scheduler before leaving this morning, asking what the payment schedule was, then left for the remote job. I submitted the report immediately after the shop, and was paid for all 3 jobs within an hour of completing shop #3.

No complaints here. I guess I'm still a lucky one.

Communication with Daryl has been great. I wasn't sure if I could take this shop, but once I knew my availability I confirmed with him and got it scheduled. I receive email replies within a day, but usually within an hour or two.
