Ardent Training

Good morning, Has anyone been provided of updated dates for training for Ardent? I got accepted last month but I was not able to attend the dates they had provided at that time. Do they email them out periodically?

It depends. They have training in an area when they need shoppers. If they loaded up on shoppers the last time it may be awhile before they have training in your area again.

Unfortunately, the training is paid pending the completion of your first assignment, I believe. Who have you been contacting regarding assignments? There are mainly three schedulers for the entire company, from my view.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!

The mass e-mail goes out to almost everybody in their database, so just because you are receiving the training e-mail does not mean that they do not know you were trained and they are trying to train you.

You did not get payment for the training because you did not complete an assignment. The training money is only paid after you complete your first assignment. I actually though payment for the training was $20 3 years ago. I was trained long ago so I have forgotten.

Why would someone drive 300 miles to take training to perform casual dining shops that pay less than $30, out of which you must pay for your food? Are there very many of these restaurants within 20 miles of you? Were you asked to provide your personal info (SS#, direct deposit into, etc.) and set up on their website with a password? This usually happens within a week after you take training and then you select the locations you are willing to shop. They make their assignments based on which locations you have selected.

Can you login? If you can, take a look at the "orphan" list. It will give you an idea of what shops are unassigned in your state or area. If you see one you can do, email the scheduler to request it.
I was trained probably two years ago. I am the only shopper in my immediate town. Most months I also do an orphan for a larger city near me that has four locations. There is another suburb just a little further out with two locations that I don't shop at all. Based on what I've seen, there has not been a training for these locations since I got trained two years ago (for the seven in this metro area).

If you have been trained, are the only options to wait until they assign you or you find something on the orphan board? Have they made May assignments for the burger place?
FYI for the newbies, Ardent sends out confirmations for shops in your area through emails on the 1st of every month. This is after you completed their training session. You can either accept or decline the assignments. To get assign shops, go on their "locations I can shop" or something similar with that tab. You can also go onto their Orphan lists. I've taken shops that were previously assigned to another shopper which the other shopper has declined because of other reasons.
@Bubbabubba, just out of curiosity, why are you quoting entire posts but not posting your own comment/question along with the quote? It makes it a bit hard to follow. If you need help in figuring out how to do it, just ask and most forum members would be happy to help.

Why did I drive so far? I wanted the training. It was conducted at their busiest store SLO. I made a special request to be allowed to travel so far to get that training. I remember discussing the potential for stock splitting with that big boss as I was a stock holder.I live in Simi Valley ca where I believe they had the very beginning of all that trouble.

Bubba,
I live near you and there are no Orphans in Ventura County right now. There are a few on the Central Coast but I'm sure you don't want to drive another 300 miles roundtrip to do them. (For everyone else, SLO stands for San Luis Obispo in California). If you don't have your password, you need to email the scheduler. I will send you a private message with her email address. You never know when new shops will be available to you, particularly if you are willing to drive into the San Fernando Valley or Los Angeles.
Really? Any Chicago folks here who received May assignments? I was not contacted.

I thought you were an experienced, educated and professional person. I would think an experienced, educated and professional person could figure out to properly quote and respond in a public forum. Maybe a thesaurus doesn't help in every situation.
I have to admit that Ardent provided a fairly generous shop fee of $25. If you order the required main entree, a soda, chips and sometimes guacamole or salsa, the tab comes out to under $12 in my area. So you have about $13 left over.

Soda not required. Guacamole only required if part of the monthly scenario which infrequently occurs.

Sometimes it will take a couple of months for the new location to show up on the Locations I can shop list. There was a new location that opened around Oct. last year near me and it took a few months before it showed up on the Location list.
