Hi
I recently signed up with Gap Buster. Have anyone heard anything, pros or cons about this company in regards, to reports, payments and etc? Thanks!!

I did a search and people said that they liked the company. I did two shops for them on Wednesday and Thursday. They actually texted me asking if I could help them out. Pretty easy shops and the survey was fast!
Thank you! I have one scheduled for later on this month and I was just wondering.
Good company with my very limited experience less than 10 shops in 7 years. No problems though smooth shops fair and smooth pay.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
All I know is that I shopped for them when they had a hamburger place, and went out of my way for them many times. Then they started begging me to do the way out of the way places, for a good bonus, but I didn't really want to spend so much driving time. I finally agreed and then they never scheduled them for me. This happened three times after they had called me to do the shops. I complained that this was no way to treat me, and without a word I was terminated.
I am not able to search for available shops on their website. I click on the Region and the State blocks and nothing shows. The distance can't be changed from 3 km. I'm not sure if that means there is nothing in my Pacific Region or that the website is not working properly. I tried this on both Internet Explorer and Chrome. Am I missing something?
I haven't been paid by them yet, since I did my first shop for them on Monday, but I'm happy so far. They texted saying they had a test drive that needed to be done asap, and had bonused it from the base $45 to $75. I explained that it was an hour and a half away, and $75 wouldn't cut it. They then called, I asked for $150, they said they could only go up to $120. I took it. The report was simple to answer, and approved very quickly. So, so far I'm happy.
just don't get attached to them.....they frequently "clean their shoppers out", just bec......and I remember a few years ago people had lots of probs getting paid....no idea if that's been recified

Are you able to search for other jobs on their site?

Yes, you can. They have very little in my area, however. In fact, currently they have nothing in my state. They have texted me half a dozen times or so, though.
I just did a job for them a couple of weeks ago. Keep your fingers crossed that I'll get paid,
I've shopped for GapBuster for 2 years and I really liked them. They only reason I stopped is because they stopped issuing work in my area. But they are great, foreign but they are nice, pays WELL, and very accommodating.
duplicate- won't let me delete post sad smiley

@katioard

I noticed you completed this shop end of may 2016, have you been paid yet?
Just make sure to keep a copy of your report. Every report I did for them for a while was followed up with an email from them asking me to re-answer at least 10 questions. I took to attaching a copy of my report to their email asking me to re-enter the information with a note saying, "Here it is again!". It was idiotic. There was nothing wrong with my answers. I think it might have been a way to get out of paying. If you couldn't reiterate the same answers they might not have paid. For example, if you said you entered the restaurant at 12:15, they would come back to you asking what time you entered the restaurant.

And for one fast food chain they made an app that was so poorly done that you couldn't use it.

Yes I have been paid. I was paid about a month after I completed the assignment.

They begged me to do a shop last week. A "cook your own meat" type restaurant( on a tabletop grill). I don't care for the restaurant( I've eaten there 1x before), but they were also paying 20.00 on top of the 45.00 reimbursement. You had to spend 45 and had to order a beef dish, a noodle dish, a veggie dish and 2 drinks. I took a friend who eats beef.( I got 4 shrimp for 8.00). My total after tax, but before tip was 43.33. They WILL NOT pay me because I did not spend 45.00. OMG. They actually asked me if I wanted to do it again. NO FRIGGEN WAY. They are going to deny payment because I was 1.67 short. I figured it was better than getting the bill and then adding something else on to it. I'm really pissed. The food sucked too.
I am STILL awaiting payment for a shop completed on May 28th. I have sent an email once a week and I did get a response from someone that was looking into it a few weeks ago, but have not heard anything since.
Luckily I had no out of pocket, but just like Claicakes, I was begged to do a shop and I went out of my way to complete it perfect to specifications and still have not gotten paid.
I don't understand their reimbursement. So, you have to spend at least $45 in food, but you only get reimbursed $45? So, who pays for the tip??
I did the same shop Calicakes did. I was so worried about the $45 minimum that when I checked my receipt, I did not realize I was not charged for the drink. My shop was rejected, too. I think the guideline said you have to spend $45, not including tax and tip.
They had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to do it again. I said NO, take me off your list. I'll never do another shop for them. Even though I wanted to do that famous electric car shop( I don't think they're doing them anymore).
Actually, I ended up redoing it for a bonus. I felt like it was my fault for not following the guidelines.
This was my first shop for them, I felt like they could have made an exception for 1.67. At least reimbursed me for the food.
