Intellishop

Hi, I've been on the Forum reading different comments about MSC, I just wanted to comment on Intellishop. I was wondering how we as MS can protest this foolishness that they keep getting away with, the pay that they offer for all they ask you to do in their shops are crazy, I had an experience with them as well a [client name deleted] Shop. I kept getting emails to do one of these shops in which was way out of the distance I agreed to travel, and she did give me a $10 bonus. But in the end I never received my pay nor did I get reimbursed for the pizza, I was told the picture was not correct, oh I failed to mention this was the first time I ever had done a[client name deleted] shop, and no I'm not a new MS.

Mod note: It is against forum rules and an ICA violation to link the client with the MSC. Please refer to the posting guidelines when posting.

Teetop, it's okay to comment on an MSC, but revealing the name of one of their clients violates the ICA you signed with them and also is prohibited by our forum's guidelines. Please edit your post and remove the client name.
I have been shopping for Intelli-shop for a little over a year and I am quite happy with them. You are an independent contractor. The pay is what the pay is. They don't "owe" you anything in regards to compensation. The only "protest" option for you would be to not shop for them. I have had the one off occasion where I accepted a shop, read the guidelines, looked at the questionnaire and decided the shop was not right for me or did not pay enough. I have just emailed the scheduler (with plenty of time before the shop was due) and asked them to remove me. It has not happened often, but I have done it and the shop was removed with no penalty. Lastly, we have all had the occasion where we goofed and ended up not getting paid. Even if it was the first time you did the shop, if it was wrong it was wrong, and they cannot use the shop. Based on my experience (113 shops with them since 03/2016) I think they are a pretty good company.
Hey, those pizza shops and the photo requirements are not very hard...the best thing to do is to take 6 or more photos so you can be sure that you submit the best photo. Be careful to have the angle exactly right, high resolution, no overshadowing, no other objects (toes, fingers, etc.) and make sure that you don't cut off any edges on the pizza crust--the entire pizza must be in the photo. It's really quite simple. I have done those shops for Intellishop as well as a few other MSCs and never had a shop rejected. If you like the pizza then this one rejection shouldn't get you down. I don't really like the pizza but I will never do one for reimbursement only. There must always be a fee involved or I won't do them.
I like Intellishop because they are not afraid to pay you faster than most companies do. This is something that crack's me up because interest rates even on $500,000 to $5,000,000 are about 1.05% for high end liquid-products. Intellishop's fair and fast payments make doing jobs for them even more enjoyable. Intellishop's Proofreaders actually provide feedback instead of never letting us know where our ratings stand. I have nothing but good words for a good MSC that treat's us fair!
Guy, do any of the proofreader's feedback comment's for your report's ever mention your excessive use's of apostrophe's?
I don't think anyone has ever gotten paid for a pizza shop. I took great photos, so they said I ordered the wrong toppings, which I did not.
Let me say this about Intelli-Shop they will rob you blind if you don't watch them like hawks. This past November and December They had as many shoppers as they could get knocking out 4-5 car shops a day. The reports were easy and a bunch of us were making bank there for a few weeks. Then in December they started anyone getting any of these done by the 18th would get all of their pay before Christmas that never happen then we were promised the first and again didn't happen, do you know they are still paying me for those. BEWARE YOUR PAY!!
Is this a new intellishop then the one I have known for the last 7 plus years?
Faster than most? Their payment has been end of the month the month after you completed the shops at earliest usually add one month to that.
Proofreaders provide good feedback? We deducted two points because we had to contact you. We deducted one point for grammar or spelling errors that don't exist. Then there is my all time favorite we deducted one point because we did not have to contact you.
A good MSC that treats us fair? Oh you mean the one that pays ridiculously low rates for insane amounts of work. The same one that doesn't respond to emails and no longer is willing to bonus if asked. I am not talking the shops they slowly bonus as they sit and sit automatically.
Well to each his own but were you not the one complaining about the drop in pay for the Bestmarks Electronics shop.

Huh? I agree with Buffalo and parkcitybrian. It sounds like GuyFawkes is confusing Intellishop with some other company. I don't mean to bash Intellishop, because I do pick up the occasional shop from them when they post one with a client I like and I think the fee is worth it. I wouldn't call the payment slow, but it sure isn't fast, and it definitely isn't "faster than most companies." Intellishop proofreaders are inconsistent and do not provide legitimate feedback, probably because they are entry-level employees paid poorly who receive little or no training or guidance from Intellishop.

That said, I have not been treated unfairly by Intellishop. Generally, the pay is not enough to entice me. The editing is substandard compared to many other companies. Who cares? I don't take shops that don't pay enough and I'm not bothered by the meaningless editing feedback. But let's be very honest and clear here - this is NOT a company that deserved kudos for its pay, which is neither high nor fast, or for their editing.
I sure was relieved to ready PCB, Buffalo and Jay C's posts after reading GuyFawkes' post. For a minute there, I thought I had been transported to some weird alternate reality Land of Opposites. Whew, I sure am glad to be back.
pretty sure fawkes was being sarcastic, and just assumed people would figure it out, as intellishop is known for being horrible.
I must be the needle in the haystack because I have no complaints about Intellishop. They have always paid on the scheduled date (the 20th of the following month), if I get deductions, I'm given specific reasons why, and I always get an additional bonus if I ask for it. Maybe I haven't been shopping long enough tongue sticking out smiley
Well, there is a reason that Intellishop is still around, and still has shoppers....apparently it is people like @guyfawkes and @jdickersonshops........

I don't work for them. I just do the shops. And not very many at that. I wait til the end of the month until they're bonused, just like anyone else would. I MS as a hobby I couldn't imagine doing it full time or working for a company!
I had one experience with Intellishop where they did not pay me the agreed upon fee. I sent them an e-mail explaining the problem and providing my proof, and they promptly fixed the problem. I've only done a few shops for them (and none in quite awhile as I moved to a region they do little in), but I never had a problem with them.
I have had no dealings with anyone from Intellishop. Just the opposite..... everyone has been great. They pay on time. smiling smiley
I am new to mystery shopping, and have done mostly intellishop shops. What companies have you all been using that are better with higher payouts?
Most of them.

All joking aside, I do some work with Intellishop, but it's almost exclusively video work that's scheduled by an independent scheduler whom I just adore. My issues with Intellishop are those god-awful editors and the relatively low pay on the non-video work. Also, I have had more pay issues with them (missing or incorrect pay and/or reimbursements) than all other MSCs put together.
I choose not to work for them 99% of the time. I Think I did 4 shops for them in all of last year. The pay is generally too low, I can make more elsewhere so I do. That being said, the shops I have done I have always been treated well. No issues with anything. Yes they once deducted 2 points because they contacted me. So what. It's not like my Intellishop score affects me in any way.
I've done one shop with IntelliShop....It was a short, easy shop. The only downside was that I had to make and return a purchase valued at six times the shop's pay... I even had fun with this: I bough/returned a $400 shirt because it was designed by a one of my favorite musicians. I would not go out-of-way for such a shop, but, as an add-on to a route I was running for which I simply had to walk five shops down in a mall, it was fantastic. The report took just a few minutes and the shop was graded quickly with naught but positive feedback. As I look at the other shops offered in my area, it looks to be more of the same: nothing worth making a special trip to do, but quite a few things that I would pounce on if I were already in the area. (Yes, I'm a sucker for the $15 for 10-15 minutes worth of work shop.)
