Why are so many companies switching to these new boards?

I am a busy person, but do secret shopping a few times a week on top of my job. These companies switching to the new platform boards, making us sign up all over again, is a lot of time and hassle. Does anyone know why they are doing this. Sassi was so easy and I've been doing it this for years, so I know how to sign up for jobs so easily and do the report. I'm scared I wont know this new system. This is learning another thing that I don't have time for!!

Sassie has not had major updates and new features fir the MSCs in many years. Shopmetrics is in the midst of rolling ut a huge overhaul of their system with amny new features that both MSCs and shoppers are loving. You may not yet see these becasue they are in Beta

It's all about the Benjamins! They've made a determination that this will be a fiscally sound move.
I hope Shopmetrics fixes the search feature in their "huge overhaul". Frankly, I hate the platform as it is right now. Takes twice as long to enter things. But I'm guessing that LGRM has it right and they are offering companies a good deal.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.
With all of these companies switching to the metrics and the other platforms does this mean we have to sign up all over again To each company? I must be signed up with at least 30 or 40 secret shopping companies, Maybe even more Been doing this for over 17 years. I am super confused about signing up with the company is the way it was all set up. I went to sign up for a certain job and one of the editor said I had to go to their new link and it followed me through signing up all over I've been working with this company for 10 years. If this is the situation, this is going to be extremely time-consuming.

They are in beta what does that mean?

They are testing the overhaul in some areas with some shoppers, but not in the majority of areas. This gives them an opportunity to work out the bugs before they roll it out nationwide.
They made a long and detailed presentation at the IMSC conference and recruited experienced shoppers to help with the Beta testing there. Shoppers were very enthusiastic about all of the announced chages and also loved being asked to meet with the Shopmetrics tech reps there to request other add-ons. All of the ones suggested in the open session were readily accepted and put on the list for the second update which will happens about 6 months after the first update goes national (actually, international).

I heard a number of schedulers chatting about how they profoundly wished that their MSCs would leave Sassie because it is so cumbersome and difficult for schedulers and editors. They see it as an "antique," in the words of one scheduler. However, the set-up cost of moving even a medium sized shopper/client data base from Sassie to Shopmetrics is a serious barrier for some of the MSCs. In particular, there is no good way to extract from Sassie the shopper performance records, so that would all have to be transferred by hand unless Sassie suddenly decides to left Shopmetrics access to their client files. (LOL!)

From a shopper's point of view, I've always liked working with SASSIE over iSS, Prophet and Shopmetrics. As for unique systems from select MSC's, the only MSC I can think of with a format I actually like is Five Diamond.

This really is a different question that just "why?". IMHO

I think it was a second thread started by the OP about the same subject. Yesterday, the second thread was right above the this one. It appears that the moderator combined the two threads since they were discussing the same issue.
SASSIE also from what I heard charges MS companies per report. Imagine paying every time you save a word doc (something I do every day) vs paying one time or yearly license.
