Gapbusters (GBW) - NO PAYMENT. What can I do?

Greetings,

I'm just trying to get direction on how to get payment from the company GapBusters. I did a job for them in April and still have not received payment. On their website it says to update my bank info because that's why payment was rejected but that's a lie because my info is correct. I have sent 6 emails as well as using their contact link and received no response. I even text the people who reached out to me to offer the assignment and no reply.

I'm really angry because that was a $60 job I did and I'm not into wasting my funds. HELP???!!!

Well you did the first step...Alerting the rest of us. That might cost them more than $60. Unfortunately I have no guess as to what the second step would be. It's a 'He said, they said' deal
I actually have the emails and texts about completing the job and it being accepted as well as the printout of the payment denial.

Thanks anyway. Hopefully someone will have had some experience with getting paid when this happens and can offer direction...
They had some serious payment issues a couple of years ago. I don't know if they were ever resolved, but they still owe me money. I did a bunch of cell phone shops for them which they quoted me one price, then paid me almost $20 less per shop than what was promised. I did the same as you, emailing and calling the person who made the offer with no response. A year later they were calling me wanting me to do those same shops again. Any guesses as to what my answer was?
Write to them again, they will pay you. Depending on when in April you did the shop, it can take two months. Make sure that they have your correct bank information if you are doing direct deposit. Don'ts stress or fret too much yet, they were awful a couple of years ago but I have done well over a dozen shops during the last year and the payments have always come. Let us know what happens, and just email all of the contacts that you have over there, someone will respond or the money will appear. Breath......
Oh wow. The only reason I was concerned was because they said the payment was declined and I should update my info but it's correct and they didn't respond to my inquiry on the page...
They take a long time to reply. I sent them a bunch of emails one day and then finally they called me from some strange international number and emailed me back. Keep on them and be patient too
Three months? And apparently this is an ongoing pattern. Are we that desperate for work that we have to put up with this? Perhaps if we balk at companies like that we'd get our money while we can still remember what it's for. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they'd figure we'd lose track of the job..
I was going to complete a shop for them tonight, they said " Name your fee" and I did and they accepted it. I did not realize the time I could start the shop was 7pm. I emailed after I accepted and said " please remove this from my profile because I can't start it that late". I realize now its because the happy hour for this place is over at 7pm. The total reimbursement is only 45.00 which does not go very far at regular prices. Now I'm glad that I cancelled. I hate chasing payment.
I still haven't heard from them. I sent an email asking when I was getting paid. I won't work with them again. Blacklisted!
I did a shop for them, with no out of pocket for me. They owe me $80, but it has only been about a month. Someone mentioned they take a long time to reply, but when they were desperate for a shopper they call and email right away!
After I did the shop and told them that their website will not allow me to update my bank information for payment, all I hear are crickets....
I am not sure how they plan on paying me, check maybe?? It makes no sense that they do no respond to me at all now. They will be blacklisted for me if I don't hear anything back soon.

I am now on the 4th Month of not getting paid. I am owed $80.

UPDATE: I got paid today!! A little over 4 months, but persistent emailing and enquiry's, as they call it, helped I guess.

@cubbiecat, do you have contact info for the person you got paid from? I did a shop on 5/28/2016 and still have not been paid 4 months later. I have emailed on a weekly basis with no response.
