MFI - Auto Assign

Has anyone else encountered this. For the last two week my in box is flooded with assignments from MFI that they have "auto asigned" due to my proximity to the jobs. I was told to cancel if I could not do the assigned jobs, but I feel weird canceling every single one, because I dont just work with MFI. I have other things scheduled on those days and times. Now some schedulers are getting snippy with me due to my cancellation rate. It is a self assign sight. If I wanted those jobs I would have picked them. BTW no bonus was assigned to any of their "auto asigned" shops.

I didn't have tons of them, but I did have one FF they auto assigned to me. They said they were trying to get them done before Memorial Day and since I had shopped that location several times before they figured I would want it now.

I did notice the thing about no bonuses. There was a line in the email saying since I was an established shopper with them, they assigned it at the rate I had done that job at before. Usually when I shopped there before, it was bonused pretty well. But this one was at the rate they start at.

I did do the shop though yesterday, but I had a business verification scheduled for around the same time as that FF shop that was only a mile away.
I would contact MFI and tell them NOT to auto assign me shops at all, ever! If I am interested in the work it will be because it works with the rest of my schedule so I will happily self assign, but do NOT want them to auto assign and need to cancel or worse, miss the email assigning them to me so I don't even know to go cancel them.
I have already contacted several schedulars, and let them know. But they are so grumpy when I have to cancel. MFI is not my fave, but I use them to fill in the blanks - so to speak. Just confused. No big deal. lots of others on my plate. was just nice to have them as back up before they went rogue.
I have never have them auto assign me any shops. I have been shopping with them for about 4 years. This could be something new, because I have not done any shopping in almost a year.

Some of their shops at the end have a couple of little questions about whether you would do this shop again and whether you would like to have it automatically assigned to you in the future. I suspect that answers to those questions may well be why folks are getting autoassigned. I too have never had them assign something I didn't agree to.

I've seen those questions too, but that's not the case with these. The shop I was auto-assigned was a FF and I've never seen that question when filling out a FF report.
I was auto-assigned 3 jobs that are the farthest away from me from all the ones I ever did for them. I wonder how they pick them. I ended up cancelling two and taking the third one because it was bonused pretty well. I wish they would at least send them as Accept-Reject type of offers. That way their system could distinguish from cancelling a job as opposed to rejecting an offer.
I have never had them assign anything that I had not requested.

This was the first time I had that happen. According to the email I received, they said it was because they wanted to get them done by Memorial Day. Not sure how true that was, or if they were just trying to assign them without having to bonus them, but that was the story they were giving with it.

I think if they really want to get them done before Memorial Day weekend they need to get busy with the bonuses.

There has been a bunch of people on Violation talking about this issue. I haven't had it happen. I only do certain shops for them. I will not be taking any I would not take or took in the past as a filler on a route just because they decided Samantha didn't work out, so now they are going to guilt people with auto assign. If they paid better, they wouldn't have to resort to trickery such as this.

never been on volition forum. guess I will check it out. Tired of the constant auto assignments and then frantic calls from schedulars I would like to remain friendly with, when I have to cancel or reassign. Its the last two weeks of school people. I want to see the school plays and the open houses and all the jucnk public school has to offer... oh yeah I volunteer there too,.
I have never been auto assigned. When they need something quickly they call me.

I would call and ask for the help desk. If you cancel all those shops, you might get removed from their system.
I emailed the help desk as well as called. I even spoke to my regular scheduler. So far no more auto assignments. I did have to cancel the originals, but I picked up 5 more jobs on days that I available. They weren't the jobs they assigned, but oh well. If they remove me from their system its their loss.
I only got those ones that came all on one day and never again. Maybe after so many cancellations, they got the point and no longer auto-assigned anything.

One can only hope. The whole idea of auto-assigning shops to a base of IC's is ludicrous beyond words.

Haven't seen the auto assign from MF in my area, thank goodness. I know in some of the reports they ask if you enjoyed the shop and if you would do it again. Sometimes they ask if they can automatically assign it to you next time. I always say NO.

I get those every so often, and I too always say no. These shops that were being auto assigned though, were not shops that usually have that question at the end.

seibahbah, you are so caught up in this that you don't see how you sound to everyone reading this. Do yourself a favor: log out and take a break. When you come back, I am betting you will see what a spectacle you are making of yourself and you will probably start editing out many of your posts. Your wild attacks on dee shops are not making dee look bad, your attacks are making you look like a lunatic. Take a break and cut it out.
In the past I was often guilted into taking jobs with MFI. I don't mind working with them, but aut assigning jobs on a self assign site is trickery as far as I am concerned.
sheibahbah, you don't belong here, you are attacking the members of this forum without any justification, please be nice and log out, your posts are very similar to the posted by Big George, are you him?

In 2 weeks time, I received 2 auto assignments for FF shops I had done in the past. This was followed by an email from Samantha, the new scheduler, who matches you with available shops in the area. This one for a retail shop. At least the SAM emails you had to respond to and take the shop. It looks like they are getting very creative in getting folks to "self" assign and avoid bonuses.
I wonder if they received a lot of complaints about the auto assigned shops. They have a message up now that if you self assign a shop and complete it by the end of May, you can email the help desk and get a $3 bonus.

Samantha is over a year old. When I got offers from Sam, they were bonused, but others here had offers with no bonuses. The cheaper they get, the more new ways they need to find to get us to say yes. The auto-assigned shops are just reprehensible, especially considering they remove shoppers so easily from their DB for things like cancellations.
