Submitting Invoices

Alright, every now and then I see something about submitting invoices in order to be paid. However, with all the companies I've done work for (except Cirrus), I can't find any information on how and where to submit invoices? Do the majority of companies no longer require them before they issue payment?

I'm so confused!

I've already received payments from four companies without submitting anything for June but I'm concerned about the remaining companies.

Very few companies still require invoices but you do need to watch with any new-to-you company for the requirement. Harland Clarke still requires them among the companies I work with.
Remington also requires invoices.

I tend to forget to send them. I remember when I'm chasing the payment weeks later.

Now, I make sure to write "SEND INVOICE" on my shopping calendar a few days after the shop.

For me, I use a worksheet for each shop performed. I tailor it to the MSC and type of shop of course. Most important though, are the spaces that I fill out that say Shop Pay, Incentive, Date of Shop and Date of Invoice.

It pays to keep records.
Maritz requires you to submit invoices, although I know that they have been lenient in the past with new shoppers. Marketforce requires you to submit the CPI for payment.
How funny! I don't even think of a Market Force CPI as an invoice, but it is. Since I automatically go to the upload and CPI submission at the end of one of their shops I don't note the date of submission. I do save the confirmation numbers from Shopmetrics and Prophet submissions etc. as 'proof of submission' in the same spreadsheet column where I would mark having sent an invoice.
Shortly after writing this, I accepted a Maritz shop and saw that!!! What is strange is that I didn't see it on their side but on KSS Int's site, they disclosed that Maritz requires an invoice.

Me either! winking smiley I guess because I don't really have to do anything extra.
