A Closer Look....the Nationwide Pizza chain shops

Just curious to know if the shops ACL does with the nationwide pizza chain....are they easy?

Am thinking of taking one since they have a bunch of them here in Chicago and they are also dangling a couple of premium shops to go with these pizza shops.

Never seen any nationwide pizza chain shops with ACL in my area, it's all local pizzeria shops here.
Here as well.

National is a bit of a misnomer. They have a chain than is spread across the country but only has about 100 locations.

Its not one of the more popular chains but it makes me think of fire. It seems they are in a good number of states.

I did one of those pizza shops and the pizzas were great! really thin crust and very fresh ingredients. make sure you know ahead of time what you will order. the reports are ok, it will take a little time to do and make sure you get the pics correct! parking in metro areas is tough and it costs a lot. I would do these shops more often if parking was included. also, take a friend with you so they can buy a pizza separate from your order. you can turn in both receipts for reimbursement. you can order a drink and pizza for yourself and then your friends pizza, with a total of $18-19 which is so close to the total reimbursement.
The reporting takes too long to do, especially considering that they do not pay a fee usually. Also they do not cover parking so if you want to try one and you have to pay for parking at that particular location, write them first before you request. Wait as long as you can to take these, they will add bonuses and again, you can always ask.
Don't know about those. I think they do (name of pizza restaurant removed) though.

(Mod note: Naming an MSC's client violates the Forum rules.)
I do these all the time although the report does take some time to do. Evidently the 2 locations close to me do not have enough shoppers. They do one every week at some locations. I do them because I absolutely adore the pizza. In my area (the big city of L.A.) both have free parking lots attached although sometimes the lot is almost full. The last shop I did the price for 2 pizzas+tax and one drink was about $4 over the reimbursement. Pizza prices went up but reimbursement did not. They are in the midst of changing the shop and the menu at this place I heard...new items will be added. If you do it and go towards the beginning or end of the time period the report will be easier as there might be less staff to interact with at the slower times.
The pizza shop takes a very long time. I only do the online ordering shop because you usually interact with the cashier and the person that gives you the pizza. The online ordering shop also requires less observations and timing requirements. They also want the timing down to the last millisecond. I followed the recommendation on their guidelines and downloaded Mystery Shopwatch on my phone.

Oh yeah, I have seen those. Didn't realize they were nationwide, though. The reimbursement is low compared to the local pizzeria shops in my area, which I can do and get a great deal more food and can take as carryout. Sounds like my carryout shops are also less time consuming as there are fewer questions to answer and comment upon.
They are fairly simple, to me anyway. Just make sure you don't order 2 pizzas on one receipt. That's where I messed up at and had to go back the next day. I eat there anyway so it was worth it for me. smiling smiley

Red Lobster and Olive Garden are NOT fine dining!
I've done a few of the fiery shops. They are not particularly difficult. Follow the questions. Timing at first was the difficult part as you are both capturing names and timing. Plus listening to what they say which is less important.

Photos are a must. However I ate and had leftovers then in the car remembered that I had not photographed the underside. I did so with the leftovers and it was accepted. You can also state your misgivings or variations from the guidelines in a disclaimer statement which I have had to do from time to time. Highly recommend honesty.

I like shopping for ACL.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

I have done eight of these fiery shops in mall locations and elsewhere. The timing (mm hh ss) at each of five spots, remembering every name of every person you encounter (did each use your name, say please, say thank you, ask if you want anything else), and the narratives can make your head explode. At least get the $5 app bonus (the app works occasionally, so there's that fun part of the narrative.) The food is pretty good and unless you really load up on ingredients, the calorie-count can be in the 650-or so per pizza (we split one.) The $18 reimbursement covers the pizza, salad and beverage. It isn't a "keep the change" shop meaning if you don't spend the $18, you won't get the remaining money as a fee.

And then there are the pictures: top, bottom, salad side and top .... Nothing says mystery shopper like asking a pizza to smile for its closeup.

As someone else said, online is the best option as you just have to get the name of the cashier and delivery person. The staff writes their names on their hats in illegible white ink on a tiny black background. No name means having to provide a long description.

As this chain grows, it will need a lot of shoppers. It is almost exclusively franchise.

Shopping SoCal and Maui.
The pizza shop has too many moving pieces and is not worth the reimbursement to me. You have to document the servers names, descriptions while timing each transaction. It was too much. I would do the online ordering shop only because it requires less interactions and observations.

Yeah, they are always emailing or texting me about their shops. I usually pass. I did one and I was thinking, "wth".
Co JUST got (back, I understand) one Godfather's Pizza.. Waiting to see if any of those pop up. I live near it.
