ath not paying on time again

Ath is late again. Sent out a generic email that they sent a request to bill.com to pay me. No they didn't. Generic response and no notice from bill.com which is usually immediate. How many of you got the same email when you inquired about getting paid?
Last time they acted like they had no idea payments to shoppers weren't made. Pay was 20 plus days late.
Bad enough they don't pay on time now the editors are being picky. I think they are being picky on purpose. Been doing these shops the exact same for a long time. One editor wants something different. The next wants something else. I was told just give 3 sentences. I have 4 now the editor wants 3 more. Or how about wanting more narrative after they deleted most of my narrative.

She will act surprised and get you paid. I am beginning to think it is a ploy to get out of paying shoppers. They did this crap in march also. If you don't email you don't get paid. I am holding off on work with ATH Power till they get their act together.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
If they reject our shops , then they also do not get paid. The only logical reason for them rejecting good shops is they went over the number of shops a client will pay for. Of course that would not be ethical of Ath.

I heard someone say that some of the MSCs that make their suppliers wait two or three months are trying to pull the old "Rebate Strategy" the Manufactures did with Consumers. Companies got in trouble for their Rebate Program and thanks to regulation its a lot less of a hassle than it use to be to get your money. When you think about this from the greedy company's perspective, its quite slick! The strategy works best on people who are not good at keeping their records. That's one of the reasons I never accepted any of their shops because I heard "to get paid its like pulling their teeth" or "squeezing blood out of a turnip". Shoppers need to document everything and update their spreadsheets or you will end up being like all the consumers who never get their rebates(pay).


Why should shoppers have to beg to get their monies, if you performed your jobs at the level they treat their vendors the MSC would get fired from the parent company. Sorry about your pay situation, that's one area I do not miss is wondering if you will get paid.

Yes, well, I emailed Ellen shortly before noon today and got the standard "apologies, we're running late, I'll tell finance dept to pay you immediately through Bill.com" Yada, yada, yada... Thirteen hours later, nada. I think I'm going to cut back and not work with them for a while. This is a sure sign of cash flow problems and twice in 6 months is a concern.
Same here. Still nothing. I do completely feel like I'm begging for pay. I believe it was March when they did it last time. They didn't pay until I inquired, multiple times.

It's not okay. It's causing problems with family.
I've done shops for year. Second time really late payments.
This is the first time I will be getting paid from them (July shop). Is bill.com just the same as direct deposit? I'm not sure where to look for my $. I've also emailed Ellen with no response yet.
I have never had a problem with ATH payment. You need to read their payment methods. If you are using Bill.com I always receive a notification about 5 days ahead of their deposit time. Yes bill.com is the same as direct deposit. Unfortunately what you use your income for does not matter to any company. I have received the July 14th NOTICE for bill.com in my log 9/9/16 is the notice, should be in your bank soon.
They are a good company to work for. I would hate to hear someone will not take a shop with them based on others experience. Be Patient!
If ATH sends the bill payments to Bill.com on the 9th, Bill.com does not count the week-ends as business days like any other bank, holidays included. Bill.com takes about 5 business days to deposit into our accounts. If I am correct July payments should be in your account by the16th. The 9th is not instant, it is a notification that it is on it's way. Bill.com is independent from ATH. They could even send out your checks ( not sure of this.) I could be wrong, I know how aggravating this could be to many of you, especially if you are dependent on certain dates. I have shopped for them for 10 years. If your payment is late of course you should contact them ASAP. Go into your log, check the NOTICE date and add 5 days excluding week-ends. I hope I am correct! You will be notified by bill.com as soon as they send your payment.
AnneAshley- You should know what account your payment is going to. They have to have a tracking number from your bank. Did you sign up for Bill.com on the ATH companies site? This is a direct deposit into your account that you gave them. Look in your log to see the payment NOTICE, is it the 9th? It may take to the 16th to get into your account. You have to know where it is being deposited. I keep a separate account just for MSC payments. Bill.com is not ATH, they are a payment banking company, ATH sends them the information and payment.

BLUEMOOSE-ATH is a good company to work for. Their payments are confusing.
If Ellen is running late, maybe different parts of the country have a different time schedule. I am in Massachusetts.

Shopper8, sorry, you are incorrect. Unless you have a bank that is not set up for ACH (is there such a thing???)

It is close of business on the 14th, and still no payment for the July shops has been sent to Bill.com. By the way, it takes one business day to process funds between Ath and Bill.com; it's all ACH driven. And then one more day for what Bill.com gets to send it electronically to your bank. So when Ath sends to Bill.com on the 9th, they have it by the next buusiness day and it shows on their site. It is then in your bank the day after that, AT THE LATEST. How do I know? the company I run built EFT systems for every major bank AND the Federal Reserve.
Ath sent my July payment to Bill.com on 9/9. I logged into Bill.com and it stated funds will be deposited in my bank account on 9/13. Woke up on 9/13, no payment... I emailed Ellen and in 2 hours it was in my bank account on 9/13 from Bill.com - odd system... but I got paid. I feel bad for those still waiting.

Kinda sounds like the Peter/Paul situation or somebody took a long Labor Day weekend and fell asleep at the helm.
So, I haven't heard from anyone yet. Went to my bill.com account, shows payment as paid with a date of 09/16.
I will check my account on Friday and see if funds was deposited.
The same thing here, Solidkay. My ath log said that I was paid on 9/9 for my July shops, but Bill.com didn't show any activity for September. I emailed Ellen yesterday or the day before. Bill.com shows that money will hit my account tomorrow.

there are several assignments that are available in xxxx that i'm able to complete.

there is a lot of chatter going around regarding ath and their unreliability in regard to paying shoppers in accordance with your stated policy. late payment issues, etc. along with a lack of timely replies from ath regarding those issues.

are you able to address these issues with a response to me assuring that whatever issues you are having have/had been resolved? or an explanation as to why this seems to be a somewhat recurring problem?

as you are aware, i'm a reliable/ responsible shopper and my assignments are always completed on time with no need for further clarification(s).

i would greatly appreciate a response so that i can then determine if i want to continue with ath.

with full disclosure, i am going to post your response (or lack thereof) to all the forums as i owe it to my colleagues.

I have not received payment or any notification from Bill.com. I never even got the generic email saying payment was going to be late. I have not heard back from the email sent to Ath.
What is to prevent them from rejecting a shop to you, the shopper, and then submitting it to the client?
re:HonnyBrown...exact same thing with me. Bill.com notice came via email this morning....

This is the first time my ath payment has been late, been working for them for a couple of years.
Got my bill.com notification this morning.

wine, I had a shop partially rejected when the MLO did not show up for our meeting. ath paid me half of the shop fee.

I never had a shop rejected. If information is missing, the editor will email me for a document or clarification.

I too got an email from Bill.com this morning that the funds would be in my account tomorrow. Which means Ath authorized the payment to them on the 14th. Why not just mark our shops paid as of the date they send the funds to Bill.com??? It's Ath saying we have been paid when obviously its not even in process that creates the problem.
update regarding reply from ellen @ ath to my email to her this morning asking for assurance(s) that ath would, indeed, honor their payment policy as well as address issues about their viability....

nada, zilch, zero reply.

my advice is to "proceed with caution" and i have no skin in this game cuz i have always been paid on time by ath but there is wayyyy toooo much chatter about them now,
