MaritzCX Check Issue

I was reviewing my payment notes and realized I was missing payments for 3 shops with MaritzCX. I reached out to them and got a pretty prompt response. They gave me a date they mailed the check as well as the date that the check cleared. What is odd is that I have two bank accounts and neither account is showing a deposit for any amount during the time period I supposedly deposited the check. I don't believe that they are lying to me but I'm just wondering what in the world happened to the check! Has anyone else had this happened with MaritzCX or any other company that mails checks?

Yikes! That sounds like someone may have deposited it ? Then again, call your bank and have them look up a check number? If you deposit multiple checks at once--- they can go in as one big deposit. Example... I cashed my paycheck from my 9-5, my Strategic Reflection check, a rebate from cat food check, and a Maritz check and it shows on my online info as one lump deposit on that day?

I considered that but I deposit 95% of my checks via my phone and they show up in my account as individual checks. Additionally, I have ZERO deposits in any amount for a week before and a week after the check was deposited. It's just weird.
Check with them and get the check number. If you call your bank, or better yet visit with your ID, they should be able to tell you if those check numbers when into your account. If not, contact Maritz again. The paper checks can be scary if they get in between documents, someone decided to take it for themselves, etc.

If you are reasonably certain that you did not cash the check and it is not in your accounts and the shops are not marked 'paid' on your records, go back to Maritz, preferably by phone and ask that they email you a copy of the front and back of the check. Admit to confusion and concern that perhaps your mail was intercepted.

My name is not uncommon, though certainly less common than Mary Smith. At one time a company sent my check to a shopper with the same name in another state. Once they saw the address on the check they realized they had credited the jobs to the wrong social security number. A new check was forthcoming in days.
Funny you should mention that... I am reconciling my accounting today and have noticed 6 missed payments from May to August. Also, where they normally would show up on the KSS shop log in addition to the recent assignments tab on Maritz site, they all have disappeared from both! I'm NOT happy today and can't wait until morning to get on the phone and get some answers. I had trouble in the beginning with Maritz (Feb 2016) before setting up direct deposit so now there is no excuse because my bank details appear to be correct so I'm not sure what's going on.

Wait! You have direct deposit from Maritz????

From my understanding DD is not yet implemented. Am I missing something?

Ditto. You can start the process now so when they do implement DD,in theory you should be ready to go. I said, in theory. Since this MSC is notorious for being technology-challenged, I am sure that there will be bugs to work out so I am sticking with checks for now.
read back,,,,, this is not a new problem...... and last report they wanted YOU to pay the return check fee
I just got an email from Maritz this morning saying the DD starts on 9/30!

Hopefully it will make it easier to keep track of payments instead of relying on a paper check going through the US mail. I know electronic transactions can go awry too, but I just don't like the idea of a paper check sitting in my mailbox even though I haven't had any problems with lost, stolen or misdirected checks (knock on wood).

Shopper in California's Bay Area

Not necessarily true. I believe I had a lost check once. I just had to wait until the check expired for Maritz to resend the check to me. This is just going off of memory though.

Yay! I am cheering. I haven't had any problems with receiving checks from them, but I much prefer direct deposit or PayPal.
I have never experienced any problems being paid on time and the correct amount.
Their one of the best companies to work for!
If you read back they are NOT in the habit of sbsorbing chek fees.
You are the exception not the rule.

I had three missing checks from this MSC and I did not have to pay any check fees. It just took awhile to get the replacement checks because it was during the holidays and their corporate office was closed the last two weeks of the year.
Piggybacking off of this- I've only done one shop for them and I was never told if it was accepted after I made a revision they asked for. The shop was in August. I don't see it in my board. How can I find out ? And how do you know if your invoice went through?
You will need to call them. My shops done in the second half of August were paid by a check dated September 14th.
