EPMS ratings/feedback??

Hello,

I just completed two apartment shops with EPMS. They say completed and that payment is pending. Do they provide the shopper with feedback on their shops? Or any type of ratings system? Or as long as it says completed...that means you did a good job and you will get paid?? Thanks!!

I love EPMS despite a few minor annoyances.

They don't give feedback on their shops or any type of ratig. The less you hear from them (outside of the robo emails), the better. No news is good news, and you will get paid.

You are very welcome!

If you like doing apartment shops, check out Remington Evaluations. Similar requirements, but they will give you a true appreciation for EPMS.

Oh yes definitely!! I did my first Storage shop with them last week. Sooo many edits!! Got a 7/10. It was...interesting to say the least lol!
Imagine how many edits will be on the apartments narratives. They are why I prefer EPMS.

I Googled Remington Evaluations and it shows a residence. Looks like they are a small home-based business.
Interesting. Their address indeed is a what appears to be a residential house. Given the virtual nature of many businesses, they could be running this from their home with all employees connected virtually. I can;t recall this ever having been raised as an issue with Remington.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
Why would you Google their address? Their home based business allows them to pay shoppers more since they don't have as much overhead.

I wonder where Maritz is located. I'm sure if I looked on Google Earth, it would be a trailer park by a backwoods swamp.

I definitely prefer EPMS over Cirrus, even if the EPMS online forms are a hot mess. I've never had any editing issues with them, but their e-mail process can definitely be annoying.

I have had several opportunities to do surveys from them post-shop, and have always voiced my complaints (entering times in military format in one part of the form, but not in another, for example), but have yet to receive a response to that input.

They pay better and faster than Cirrus, and that's good enough for me.

And I'm curious re: the poster who stated that making appointments is better for her schedule. I'm the exact opposite... it's much easier for me to just show up at an apartment complex at a time that is convenient for me rather than locking myself into a particular hour.
Cool, I had a targeted shop for EPMS. The target was never available, so they told me to ask for "her" directly. The target turned out to be a maintenance man (yes, man) who was PO'd that I was calling him.

They are very disorganized. I do their shops because the narratives are simple and they pay in 6 weeks.

The client provides info of target/availability to EPMS. MSC does not want to spin wheels any more than a shopper does.
Mert, sometimes the information the client gives to EPMS is wrong.

I have done many many EPMS shops. My complaints are: communicate only be email, no way to get rapid info when shopper in the field and needs a response, denials of entire shop for insignificant items, so many people every shop seems to be a different scheduler and reviewer so never develope an understanding of their idiosyncrasies, they do 6000+ shops/mo so you can imagine the levels of bureaucracy but I love doing their shops because most are interesting.

I will say this for Remington: they make sure the information we get is accurate. They actually visit the apartments that we shop, and they have met the targets. The scheduler can tell us the best time to call to reach the target. They are on top of it.

EPMS, otoh, gets bad information from the client, and they pass it on to the shoppers. I had a shop for them last week where the target didn't have a last name. When I asked EPMS about it, they simply said "That's what the client gave us."

Agreed. My point, exactly.

Yea I've done about 6 shops with EPMS. 3 of them had issues!! Not a good track record. I gave one back. The other I called 15 times literally...no one called me back or answered the phone. You would think they would try and find me another number to call but no...they just said keep calling. I never completed the shop.

I really want to do more shops with them. But I'm scared especially if I drive 45 min away from home to do a batch of shops. I have a feeling the majority won't get done. And I'll still be responsible for them. Does anyone do multiple shops on one day with them? Any issues?
I've had that happen as well. The phone kept ringing, and no one answered. I asked if I could call the number on the website. They agreed, and the shop got done. If you don't reach a target, they will eventually pay you for "phone efforts."

I don't do more than one shop in a day because the narratives can be lengthy. Once I reach a target, I haven't had any issues with them not being at the community.

I have minor annoyances with them also.

I did a shop for them that was hard times: the neighborhood, property, apartments...everything. This was objectively reflected in my narrative.

The following week, they called me to do a highly bonused shop. It was on the beach, and the model overlooked the ocean.

Oh ok!! Yea the. Umber they have me was a "general mailbox" I called the number that was on the website after I didn't have the shop anymore just out of curiousity and someone picked up. So know I know you have to be a little investigator to get the shops done if you are having issues lol. But how come they didn't look/ask for another number so I could complete the shop.
They are very disorganized. They don't verify the information they get from their clients like Remington does. And then when a problem arises, they extend the date instead of addressing the problem.

I do apartment shops all the time and only just did my first one with Ellis. I found their reports repetitive, unnecessarily long, and exhaustive. I think I answered one of the questions with "are you @#$%& kidding me?" and offered to help by referring an excellent IT guy that used to work for Maritz. I kind of regret that now, but I guess I need to wait and see if this gets me fired or I get paid before I sign up for another shop(if I decide to do that, they DO pay more than most with their bonuses). I otherwise finished the report, detailed and on time.
Lol why...you did that?! Let me know what happens!! Once you get used to their reports...they aren't that bad. Just know that you have to set some time to the side...like 2 hours lol. You can also use copy and paste because different portions go to different departments in the company...that's why it's so repetitive. Overall I like working with them. Just wish I had at least one persons phone number for emergencies....
I was just tired and frustrated with all the redundancies. I have a regular day job and was doing it after an already long work day and just wasn't ready for the time and effort required for that report. Also, I have prominent smart ass tendencies that I have trouble suppressing sometimes. Their reports take way longer than any of the other companies apartment shop reports that I work on. Other than my outburst, it was a detailed and thorough shop though. My shopper rating hovers between 9.6 and 10 with all my other companies, so their response should be interesting. Like I said though, I do regret my outburst.

Also, thanks for the tip! If they don't fire me I'll make sure and set aside more time and be ready to cut and paste next time.

Well, they didn't say anything but the notes part of the status thing at the bottom of the page says my shop was accepted. That is my first shop for them. Do you think that means I'm in the clear?
See if you get paid first. Also, don't forget to follow up in 4 days.

Have you ever done shops for Remington? They want your narrative to include every sigh and breath. Literally.

Who do you normally do apartment shops for?

I did a shop recently. My calls were made and logged in on Friday, and the visit was Saturday.

Friday, i received an email reminding me to make the calls. I asked if he read my report because my call log was completed.

He replied back that he doesnt get the reports until they are complete, and the best way to update the schedulers is by emailing them from the website.
