HS Brands Movie shop help

I had a movie shop last night, I've done over a dozen of them, fairly straight forward. However, last night when I got home, I could not find my concession receipt. The guidelines clearly state you will not be paid if there is no ticket stub and concession receipt. So I used the Help Function and wrote about the situation and asked if I should continue to fill out the report? I have not heard back. Does anyone know what I should do in this situation?
I understand it is my fault and totally will accept that but I guess I'm wondering if I'm gonna get a Flake on my status or do I need to go re-perform it?

I have no idea if you will be paid or not, sorry. Maybe you will have to do a reshop. It's up to the MSC. If you are a woman, did you completely clean out your purse? I've had things get stuck in between papers or items in my purse before. Did you have a folder in your car where maybe it slipped out somewhere and is on the floorboard or stuck in between the seat?
I sympathize. I did the same movie shop yesterday. I don;t have any idea whether you will be paid or not since I've never lost one of the movie receipts so far. The report is really a breeze with no narrative, so I would go ahead and submit the report anyway, hoping for the best, rather than let it get overdue.

I have a horror of losing the ticket stubs or the concession receipt so I photograph them immediately and email them to myself. I do a bathroom check immediately after entering and snap the ticket stub picture. After the bathroom, I do the concession stand. If I'm alone, I snap the concession receipt photo in the auditorium as soon as I sit down. If I'm with someone, I hand the food to my guest and snap the photo at a bench or whatever on the way to the auditorium.
I've done this shop many times. The guidelines do state you will not be paid if there is no ticket stub and concession receipt, but this is a very "forgiving" MSC with very reasonable editors. I agree to submit the report. You are missing the concession receipt but you have the ticket stub, right? That puts you in the theater, shows the movie you saw, and documents the time. On the report form, directly under the commentary for "no" answers, there is a section "Comments to explain anything unusual: (not required) ." I would complete the report and note in that section that you received but lost the receipt. The report is fast and easy. If it were me, I would rather spend the few minutes and do the report and get it in. I have no idea whether you willl get paid or not, but I'm crossing my fingers for you. I think there's a very good chance you will be mildly scolded and the report accepted. Good luck.
I'm totally fine if I don't get paid, it is my fault and it is pretty clearly stated, it was a good movie and we enjoyed it but I guess I just don't want a Flake on my report.

Yes, I also do that with the stub I got to the bathroom and take pics right away since the stubs are so small, but the concession receipt is regular size I have never lost a receipt before.
Oh well, always a first for something. In the future, I will take pics of my receipt too! I had 3 shops yesterday and that was the only one I can't find my receipt for!

I'm not sure what you do with your receipts after you finish a report. I usually staple them to shop info hard copy. Maybe you stapled the wrong receipt to the wrong report. Doesn't hurt to check.
Have you checked your wallet? Maybe it was stuck in there since the receipts are so small. Good luck.
Last gasp effort may be to offer a copy of your bank statement, showing the expenditure.

Hoping for the best.
@Mert, since I was able to use a credit card for the concessions I did put that in my email that I can provide a copy of that if they need proof of concession shop. It's kind of frustrating that they expect us to respond to email right away when there is an issue with report but it's been almost 24 hours and I still have not heard anything back on what I should do.

Credit Card? Isn't that a no-no? I thought we had to use cash for everything? I always ask fora receipt now just to make sure.
I have used a credit card in one of my shops. Regarding being paid, that may depend on a lot of things. I had lost a whole report after I submitted it online. You know that form that must be mailed out? I was so unlucky that after I submitted my report online, I immediately had a serious accident from the ceiling. Since my PC was right below, we had a lot of water damage. I explained the situation to CFA and I did not recover any of the forms, with the manager's signature. I did not copy them. I was not paid but I don't think it damaged my record. It never happened again. And I continued to work for them.

No, you must use cash to purchase your tickets). You may use a credit card to pay for the concessions.

Hunh. I always read it as "Cash for both". Not that it makes much of a difference I guess.
I did a cell phone shop for them and flubbed on the scenario, and got my lowest score from them, which was a 4. I usually get 8's, 9's, or 10's from them, and my average is 9. They did accept the report and emphasized that the client might still reject the report. I did get paid for that one.

On the other hand, I did a movie theatre shop and had about $40 out of pocket. It was a lot for a movie that we didn't even really enjoy.

Wow! How did you manage to go over by $40? Did you take additional people? Or just buy a lot at the concession stand? With a $40 ticket reimbursement for up to 2 tickets and a $15 concession reimbursement, I can't imagine going $40 over. Two tickets in my area, even at the most expensive time, have never cost me more than $30. I"ve never been able to come close to the $40 ticket reimbursement. Of course, sometimes I take a 3rd person, but I know up front only two tickets will be reimbursed. I did go over $6 on the concession once, spending $21, and I was sorry later for buying that much junk food.

No, it was fully reimbursed. I didn't mean out of pocket like over the reimbursement, just that I would not be happy if it was not reimbursed.

Forgot to mention in both comments that shop was for another MSC entirely.

No, @roflwofl is 100% correct. Cash only for tickets. Credit card or debit card are fine for the concessions. You can still pay cash at the concessions by why? I use my cc and earn the reward points.
I agree with others that say you should fill out your report. There may be a variance granted and you could be paid. smiling smiley

Here is what I do: I have a change purse, well... more like a makeup-bag size change purse inside my regular purse and I slip my receipt inside the change purse. It fits perfectly. As soon as the concession associate hands me the receipt, I slip it in the large coin purse. smiling smiley
Whenever I can use CC I always use CC for points etc. It was a very busy time to go Sat night 8pm show, on top of losing my receipt I had a very hard time counting the patrons because it was for Dr. Strange and it was 2nd day out so packed with people. In the past, I've usually gone to either day time show or later and usually there is hardly a line at concessions. This time there were 38 ppl in front of me and when I got to the front there were equally as many behind me and I was trying to get away from the counter so others can be assisted and in my haste, I prob lost the receipt ( or shoved it somewhere that it ended up falling out who knows, I usually put in in the side pocket inside my bag) trying to grab the large drink, large popcorn and the extra large straw that came along with the drink. I still have not heard back from the scheduler ( her name was in the help button page that I used) or from HS Brands. I did fill out the report and put in my whole email in the bottom area as an explanation. So we will see!

Because I apparently misread their directions and thought you had to use cash at both. Good to know.
I can tell you what may potentially happen.... AFTER they removed the allowance of a picture of the concessions purchase to serve as the POV for the concessions, they may still ACCEPT the report without the receipt. The catch is that they won't reimburse you for your concessions purchase.

Another avenue is that you can possibly re-shop altogether.

Here's an update. The scheduler never got back to me from the help ticket. Apparently, she never got the email generated from help button from the sassie shop report site. A little frustrating, when you need help, you can't get a hold of someone... She did respond to my email when I emailed her directly, but it took 2 days. I just got the grade back 9/10 and will be paid for the tickets, shop fee just not the concession part!

I will definitely be taking pictures of my concession receipt right away in the future.
In the case of a missing receipt with an MSC, I have submitted a copy of the charge on my credit card as POV. Ive always gotten permission to use that as a POV before sending it in though.

I was denied this from the MSC for this particular client the 1 time this happened to me. Again, this was literally the month AFTER they stopped allowing a picture of the concession purchases for proof of visit.

I recently did the movie theater mystery shop and did everything correctly and paid for my ticket in cash. However, the ticket stub said "cred" for credit. I did not notice this until I received my evaluation and said I was not going to be paid for my shop because I paid for my ticket with a credit card. This is completely wrong because I know I paid for my ticket in cash and I even received change back. I'm not sure why the ticket stub said "cred". Now I'm not being reimbursed for the shop and nobody from HS Brands will answer me. I've been shopping with them since 2002 but I'm thinking of not doing any more shops for them. I guess it would be one thing if I had made a mistake but in this case, I know I did the shop correctly but I guess they think I'm making it up or something?

Rather than contact HS Brands, try contacting the KSS scheduler listed for the movie theater shops. It's one of those things that should have been stated upfront as unusual when you submitted your report. Hope the situation ends well for you!
