How reliable is bestmark?

I hate Bestmark. I asked them to remove my name from their database after they rejected three of my shops for nit-picky reasons.

They aren't worth the time it takes to check the job board!

I like them, never had a problem with paying. Only time I got a deduct on a receipt was due to my error.
I have done a few shops for Bestmark when I first started and never had a problem. Now that I am more seasoned I find that the Bestmark shops are low paying for the work.
Payment is on time. Communication is fast about 95% of the time, nice and respectful 100% of the time. They have some new clients here. I wait for their service shops, as they typically get bonused.

Both my spouse and I do shops for Bestmark regularly. Their reimbursement might not be what we all hope for but they DO PAY and never nit-pick in order not to pay you, no. You can rest assured about that. They contact you about every clarification they need to know further about and they have never disqualified any of our shops. What they put out on paper they always keep their word about and pay you for.

terrible company, vice president threatned me over $4.00, had to have a lawyer contact then. Then they backed off. Don;t shop for them, They try to find reasons to not pay
Being threatned over 4$$...that's a new low. Don't work for them, after trying twice, once when starting, and then I de-activated, then again when I heard they had gotten a couple of my favorite restaurants. Cory was always nice, but job pay too low for amount of work. Have to do "fun and easy" jobs before getting good ones, thanks, but no thanks!! Plenty of restaurants out there that don't do that.

Live consciously....
I often do video game compliance shops for them with my teen daughter. They are easy and the form is straightforward. I'm happy to work for them.
I had to fight a reduction from Bestmark on the first report I did. Although it was settled in my favor, it soured me on the company and it took a while before I accepted another shop. However, since then, it's been smooth sailing. That said, I am very particular about the shops for which I apply, mostly because I find the fees for the majority of them too low.
At first I enjoyed shopping for them, I completed many shops including dining and tanning. Suddenly tanning shops were not on my list although I got the email notifications about their availability. I emailed and said I would take one, and they told me I am not eligible as I showed my ID many times when I did these shops. I told them that I had never shown it, since you had to be anonymous, but they said it was non negotiable. I would warn anyone to avoid them at all costs.
I've done 2 shops for them in the last few weeks- one a revealed restaurant shop, which was a blast, and another at a local outdoor store. Easy and very decent pay.No problems so far.

I have a very fond spot in my heart for Bestmark as it was the first company I signed up with. I work for them frequently and have never had a problem. Just did a restaurant lunch shop today and have another one set up for Thursday. They pay right on time, twice a month, and only have contacted me a time or two for simple clarification. I like them a lot!
I use to do auto shops for them because the pay was very good and only 5 minutes from my home. I have noticed that they are not doing the model car I have any more. They always paid on time. The reports were a bit to much, but it was worth it due to the pay and the free service's I got. The auto shops they are doing now in my area are not worth the time or money, but I dont own that type of car anyways. I also stopped doing the electronics shops. Low pay and reports to long.
My problem with them lately has been communication or their lack of.

Due to extreme snow, I had to reschedule two assignments. I called and emailed and eventually received an email back asking which days I could do them. I emailed with the information and did not receive a reply, nor did the dates on my shop log change.

I called again and tried using the automated rescheduling option but that did not work. I then called again and the person I talked to said to email my scheduler again. I did, still with no reply and by that time I had two cancellations on my record. They are still there and I can not self-assign.

Once before I had a terrible time with them and communication when a website for an email inquiry shop did not exist. I received a cancellation rating for that one too but it eventually was removed when I finally reached someone (after four call attempts) and explained that I could not email because the site does not exist.
I find that it really depends on the scheduler. Some are MUCH better than others with communication. Sara is fantastic.
I did a restaurant shop for them and the reimbursement amount would have no where near covered our dinner except that the restaurant undercooked my DH's steak, so it was taken off our bill. Also, my DH ordered TWO alcoholic drinks (shame on him) so I got a warning and told if it happens again I will not be paid. I'm fine with that, I knew he was allowed only one drink and I told him multiple times that he could have only one drink, but when the waitress asked if he wanted another he just said yes out of habit and then I didn't know how to correct it without revealing myself as a shopper (or as a @#$%& of a wife who won't let my husband have more than one drink at dinner! Haha!).

My narrative was accepted just fine, but I did spend over an hour filling out the report (much to my Dh's dismay)...and it had to be in by midnight...add to that we didn't get home from dinner until 9pm and still had to get the babysitter home and get kids ready for bed, well, it put a big damper on the evening to have to write up a silly report. I don't think I will be doing that shop again any time soon.

I do like the Video Game Compliance shops. I take my teenage son with me to try to buy the M rated game and it's an easy $11 (although I give $5 to my son for his effort, so it's really not a Moneymaker for me, but my son doesn't get an allowance so it is nice to give him some money and also make him earn it!)
They do very little in my area other than foreign car dealerships (don't own one they shop) and department store makeup counters. I do one of those every 90d, get paid like clockwork, it's stuff I buy anyway. No problems here.
