RBG Joke--PAY to do a shop

I got an email today asking me to do a purchase of at least $25, with a $10 off coupon and $5 reimbursement (reimbursement only, no fee). By my math that means I am PAYING at least $10 for the priviledge of shopping for them.

Best joke of the day.

They get taken pretty quickly. I don't see a second email or an offer of a bonus. I guess people see it as a coupon.

No thanks!

I saw that too and had to re-read it twice. I enjoy working for that company but no way for that deal!!
They started out doing them where the shopper actually broke even or made a little bit of money. That quickly changed when they saw how eager shoppers were to grab them up. Cheap arses.
Rbg needs to pay more for their shops. I saw the coupon place too and i thought...aint nobody got time for that!
If you were going to shop that store anyway, this shop is a way to get paid 5 bucks for a very easy report. The shop is really for one of those companies that offer daily deals and coupons. They have a new app where you can download the coupons, and they want to see if the store will take the coupon from your phone. For this particular coupon, you get 10 off if you spend at least 25. This store offers these coupons all the time in the newspaper.

All you have to do is answer a couple of questions about whether the coupon worked. So, for almost no effort on your part, you get 15 off a purchase of 25.

NOTE: I'm not on the forum every day. If someone comments on my post, I might not reply right away. I've been a shopper since 1991. I've never done any work for a MS company in any other capacity.
I just read all the instructions....if you get to the store, you're supposed to ask if they take the coupon off the app. If they don't, you're supposed to just leave. So if you drive to the location, and the store DOESN'T take the coupon off the app, you're out gas money. So if anyone is considering taking this, make sure you're going to be out that way anyway for something else. The $5.00 that RGB is giving is only applied to a reimbursement...it is not a fee.
Besides, if you take it as a coupon, I can get the $10 off without doing a report. Why bother?

I had the exact same thought.
I got that offer also. They are getting worse and worse when it comes to their offers. Not sure if they are cheap, having money trouble or whether it is just greed. The reimbursements aren't even enough to pay for the meals on the restaurants. I have been putting them at the bottom of my list lately. I like them just fine and their shops are easy, but I am not going to pay to shop for people even I do get things for a discount. Personally I rarely shop for anything unless it is gifts. I have way too much stuff, these days I get things at thrift stores or yard sales unless it is a gift. I am more into recycling or up cycling. I just don't do malls or that kind of shopping anymore.

Shopping til' I drop, no joke here!
They had one in my area where the requirements were a $25 coupon on a $75 minimum purchase plus $5 fee. I lousy deal at a store I would never shop at. No thanks.
Occasionally they have one that I consider worth doing. I did do one for them at an electronics store but it was $10 coupon off of a $35 purchase with a $25 reimbursement and a $5 bonus. I picked up a super cheap tablet that I ended up passing along to my mother to use as an e-reader.
Regarding the store not honoring the coupon, this happened to me and the trip fee was generous (I think around $12). I was at the mall anyway and finished the report before I got to my car.

I did one where two different employees looked at me like "huh?" because they'd never heard of the company or the coupon. So I reported such to RBG, and they gave me an acceptable amount of $ for my time. I was very grateful.
