And once again I'm reminded of why I don't like Maritz

Although there seems to be mixed feelings about working for this company, can anyone provide me with a valid phone number for Maritz?

I have emailed Maritz twice through their system and no response either. If they have phoned me with a response, they are not leaving a message for a missed call.

Maritz does not understand that email exists. They usually communicate via phone. That being said, I hear they are no longer staffing their direct number with a person and your only option is hit one of the team numbers or a direct extension (I have no clue if this is true, just what has been stated here). That being said, you can reach them at 800-782-4299.

I was actually speaking with KSS and they kept checking the system. My application/profile was not coming up at all. Maybe, I had a newer scheduler or something. Maybe I will try contacting them again.

Thanks.
It is now 2017 you would think that Maritz would be able to go out and buy some more memory for the system that they use for accepting the reports.
I asked a Maritz rep why they always call me in response to my emails and she told me many of them don't have email? Really?

And just like dust, I will rise.
Hi there, I am so glad that I read your comments about Meritz. I am feeling the same way. I did just a few shops for them and was so frustrated with there silly system. First the test, then the shop itself, then the security code, then the "debriefing", then the submitting, that I struggled with as well, then the invoicing. Then, they want the pictures to be a certain pixel. After I am cleard of the last 2 bank shops I completed, I am not going to work for them again. Nanette V.

You have never experienced...yet....like the downfalls like no pay for a closed location.

I read about 20 or so posts(all negative). I have worked for Maritz for 7 years now, I have never had any bad experiences with them. I do a ton of XXX aND XXX all the time. They are great to work with/for. I'm confused on how the experiences are so different ?!?!?!?[/quote]

Your experience is not my experience. Maritz called me last minute to do two gas stations the next day with hefty bonuses. I went out to do them and guess what? Both were closed down. I was paid full amount for both.

I tried the app. It was terrible. I uninstalled it. I might try it again in a few months. Strange enough, I don't see any home improvement shops this month.

Pretty much everything about Maritz annoys the heck out of me--except the incentives, which is why I keep going back. I'm hopeful the new app eliminates some of my pet peeves.

PLEASE EDIT YOUR POST. You have named two clients in a thread where the MSC's name is in the title and throughout the thread. You are breaking your ICA and the forum rules. Forum member of three years and working for this MSC for seven years? You should be aware of your ICA.
You forgot to yell at the person who quoted her also.

I have not used the new Maritz app, however my daughter has and loves it. She said you don't have to do any resizing and you can take all the pictures while in the app and it also saves them to your phone with the shop information for you to refer back to if necessary. She does everything while at the shop and she has no debriefing when she gets home.

No yelling needed. Both posts were reported to mod. I can always count on you, griff to create drama where there is none. It must have been a boring weekend for some.

Edited a typo so The Grammar Police don't attack.

Where I come from typing all caps is yelling. So indeed there was yelling. Not trying to start drama, just stating facts. You yelled at on person with a forum/ICA violation and not the other. Personally I would have gone about it with a softer touch. Perhaps this is an example of the tone some have mentioned lately.

griffy, get over yourself. If you don't like my tone, report me to mods. I feel sorry for the mods for all the extra work some people are creating for them over nonsense.

I am missing home improvement shops too..
this is kind of unrelated, but i gotta admit, i'm a little annoyed they changed their on hold music. those weird 80's sounding instrumentals were a guilty pleasure of mine. does anyone know the names of those songs? they must have changed in the last few months...
Fuzzy...you got lucky to be paid by Maritz for a closed location. That is not my experience and I have been told NUMEROUS times by Maritz that they do not pay for closed locations.

I've been paid the regular base fee for closed locations but of course, no reimbursements. How can you make a purchase from a closed location?
I have been paid for most of my closed locations, as in out of business. I have only had trouble with one project team. Just be sure to get the required pictures, plus any others that might help: an out-of-business sign, a for sale sign, or a shot of empty shelves through the window. And say in the comments you called ahead during business hours but no one answered.
I tried all of the above for a closed location and got nothing. They are fully aware of it. And I remind them every time they call and beg over that $10. Pay me and then I will consider future shops. To those who say they have been paid for EVERY closed one congrats.
Exactly what @mystery2me wrote. The MSCs and their clients can't just take a shopper's word that a business is no longer in business. Take POV photos. I take pics of the street signs/crossroads, any building or signage, etc. Another thing, you still need to fill out the report. It may be a lot of N/A answers but a report is still needed.
Wait, how can you get the code without printing? That would have saved me quite a bit of paper!
I agree. Never had a problem with Maritz. The fee is low but when they have an incentive, I'll do a bunch of them. Once you get used to the way they do things, it's really no big deal.

There was a recent forum discussion on this whole process. Do a forum search for 90 days and you should find the thread.

I use Google Chrome for this purpose. It allows you to see everything without printing. Of course, you still have to go through the steps.
Bad luck with Maritz? Good luck with Maritz? I have gotten out of Maritz exactly what I have put into it just as with any other MSC. Their incentives are great. They pay every month like clockwork. Their reports are simple and straightforward. A quick route and my gas tank is full. A few good bank shops and rent is paid for the month. Good luck? Bad luck? Really?

The overdue notices are just that... notices that you are overdue. The quizzes are what they are. Just as with any other MSC. They are something we deal with as mystery shoppers. It takes, what, four seconds maybe to type, "I have no additional comments" into the "Anything else you want us to know," box. I for one am very happy to have that box. If there is something I need to tell them, the only way with most MSCs is to send an entire separate email to the scheduler or editor. This is very handy when things don't go according to the scenario with which so many posters to this thread seem to be having problems.

You can't take a proper picture of a 40 foot sign? Well, the gas shops are not for you. I have never been contacted about my photos. Then again. I have never cropped off parts of the sign as the guidelines dictate.
