Sometimes, I'm okay with being the cheapest.
I asked for $35 TOTAL this week for a shop that is 106 miles round trip distance. I realize that's a "negative" balance, but it's near my grandma's house where I'll be going anyway; I was just looking for a little gas money for the kitty. It's been about ten days since I asked. I don't think they'll fill this shop any cheaper. The shopper who takes it would have to travel 52 miles on a single lane road that is just a few inches wider than one car, no lines, across a mountain with out guard rails, and they'll be required to drop off in the ditch if they do pass a car or an ATV so at least 17 inches off the ground and AWD/4x4 preferred. They'll have to watch out for deer, elk, turkeys, cattle and fowls of all manner so basically they'd need to be from the boondocks... Wait, that's me! When he calls, I think I'll ask for a little more. I've watched the shop go from $10 up to $25 over the last two weeks. I'm leaving for her house in another week so perhaps he'll finally see that $35 as a blessing.
