Shop I really liked recently....do you have one to share, a shop that just worked for you for whatever reason?

This shop I am so happy about was not the best or most lucrative shop I have ever done. The reason I liked it so much was that it was for a cafe I've been meaning to try and had never gotten around to. It even paid $8 for the fee on top of the reimbursed meal - not just a reimbursed meal for the fee. Gotta like that! And the food there was affordable, healthy, and tasty! I will go to this cafe again as a regular customer and I would be open to meeting friends there as a pleasant and affordable venue in which to chat with a friend to catch up. Sometimes it's just not the money I am seeking and this would be an example of such a situation.....great thing about mystery shopping is that we get to pick and choose and figure out what works for us and what doesn't. Gotta like that, too! Anyone else have a shop that is not the most lucrative but that really works for you?

Came back to add - Moderator, sorry, I posted this in the wrong area, could you move this to mystery shopping discussion for me? Sorry, my bad.

Hi squire! Since you did not mention the MSC, can you say which cafe it was?

I had two shops that made my day. The first was a big box housewares shop. I planned on getting a meat thermometer, but ended up getting a Rabbit wine opener that was less than the reimbursement.

I bought a used Nissan in 2015. It was under warranty, but didn't have any maintenance records. I had no idea what the condition of the brakes, tires, etc. were. I did a shop at a nationwide mechanic. I had them rotate my tires, and they did a full inspection. I asked hem to do a deep issue inspection, and explained my situation. They told me there was nothing wrong with my car, and I had at least two years on the moving parts.

I did a big box yesterday expecting more work and took my pic's only to find out they changed requirements, and I didn't have to upload pic's..so, job was easy took 10 minutes, no one to evaluate.decent pay close to home, love when that happens. Tomorrow oil change which comes with a car wash and Thurs. my focus group, which I always enjoy. Plenty of time to myself to work on my "Soup for the Soul" cookbook. My friend is a graphic designer and said she'd do the art work.......Good week.

I really like shopping the outdoor store Gander Mountain, my husband loves the outdoors, hiking, guns etc so it's always nice to pick up something for him when I do these shops. It's a fun place to shop, I would go there anyways to buy him birthday or Christmas gifts so I'm able to pick up things and put them away for those occasions.

It was Cafe Zupas. Modest looking at best on the outside but great food reasonably priced (for these days, anyway) inside.
Hey Squire,
I like doing certain grocery shops for one particular company...doesn't pay much, but the reimbursement is good and the report only takes me 10 minutes now, I'm so used to them! So every month, I'm cutting back on my grocery bills by anywhere from $60.00 to $120.00, depending on how many I do. So I'm getting a fee, PLUS keeping more of my own money because of the reimbursement. So it's not the most lucrative, but for me, it sure helps in my budget!
I also enjoyed doing this particular grocery chain shops but are no longer done since the client decided not to renew their contract. I liked shopping them on my own time, had their own loyalty card, built up enough reward points to be redeem for bonus cash each quarter, and had a route of 8 grocery stores each month, sometimes twice a month for each location.
There's local native casino that I cleaned up on in 2016 and had a blast doing it... nice $40 shopper fee, plus $20 in gas, plus $10 and $15 in snacks at the two convenience stores, plus dinner for 1 or 2 up to $40, a drink at the bar and $20 in gambling -- they are close enough to me, but pretty far out in the sticks that it was pretty obvious it was hard to find shoppers. Reshop time was 7 days (the first month or so there was no reshop time so I went twice a week), and seemed like they needed TONS of shoppers for all dayparts... needless to say I went weekly plus could occasionally pick up some within the 7 days if she had a flake. Absolutely fun, was able to keep winnings, got dinner, helped reduce the gas bill and add to the snack stash in the pantry -- and best of all was all scheduled by my favorite scheduler... got to know the employees who thought I was just a "local", and knew the reports inside and out.

December 29th she scheduled me for it within the 7 days and said "by the way... the client cut it down to just 2 shops per month for 2017... so you won't be able to go nearly as often".... Dang!! lol

i believe we do the same shops with the Boars head deli...they are certainly shopped (if this is the one your talking about), did one today. I eat on the house, love it. They mail in Rewards coupons monthly.

No, sorry, Irene_L.A., the grocery chain was Raley's, which have stores in northern CA.

So, I accepted a clothing shop. Had to bring a youngin. Let's go youngest daughter. Wow! What a shoe sale. 80 percent off and we used a coupon. A pair of boots, 3 pairs of shoes later, here we are. We made $1 on the job too after the cost of shoes. She is thrilled and so am I. Love the shoes!
I did a shoe store that had a very generous reimbursement. I got a great pair of boots that look like UGGS but have a support in the foot bed, so they are actually better and they were half off. I left a lot of money on the table but I did not want to get something I didn't want just to use all the reimbursement...and it paid a fee too. I'm loving the cozy and toasty warm boots.

Grocery stores. There are two MSC's I do them for and I love being paid to buy my groceries and getting reimbursed for it. I save around $100/month on groceries. I also did an oil change shop which was good. Got paid to do it and reimbursed for it.
For me, it's anytime I can go see a movie for free. If it includes concessions reimbursement, that's a bonus.
